What makes you think there'll be 5k stacks? That sounds like a really weird assumption. There are very few people who come to play here. Typical inhouse can't even find 10 people so I'm not even sure there'll be 2 teams! If there are tons of 5K's dying to come play why aren't they making team threads?

And even if we were playing against 5K+ stacks, that'd be challenging, not boring. *****.

The tournament is very small(=very short and lower chances for real competition), $30 for 2-3 hours of your time sounds good enough to me to just gather random 4-5ks you know and grab the prize.

If the tournament will take place, I can guarantee it will be won by a team that just registered a week before the tournament and wiped the floor wth everyone in 20 minute matches.

Sure, but it wouldn't be challenging in the way a game of chess against a good player is challneging.
It would be "a bunch of amateurs against a kindegraten league" kind of chalenging, or Dark Moon kind of challening if you played that mode.
