DOTAFire EU West Inhouse CrAzY CM!!!111!! - 21 and 22 March

You need to be in the DOTAFire Steam Group Chat, and in the lobby by 4:25 (see the next spoiler tag on how to join the DOTAFire Steam Group).

By 16:25 CEST, if you're not in the Group chat, not in the lobby and I haven't heard from you, we may start without you!

This is to prevent any delays, so make sure you're ready to start on-time, or you'll have to wait for Game 2. I will join the DOTAFire Steam Group Chat around 16:00 CET, so if you experience any last minute delays, you can talk to me there.

If there's a few people around at 4:00 we'll have an All Pudge All Mid game until 4:25, if there are 10 Confirmed people in the lobby by 16:00, we may just start early. 8{D

Aside from that:-

• Try to have your computer switched on and get any updates for DOTA2 downloaded by 16:00 CEST, remember we start at 16:30, no later.
• I'll post the password for the lobby in the DOTAFire Steam Group Chat at 16:00 and 16:25
• Make sure you have at least an hour and a half to play each game, i.e. you should be free until at least 18:00 CEST if you plan to play in Game 1
• If you think you might need a quick pause during the game, e.g. you're expecting a delivery, we can always pause for a few minutes, but unless you have an unforeseeable technical issue, 10 minutes is the limit.
• Keep an eye on this thread, including the Opening Post, as anything can happen in the space of a week, so changes might be made
• There's no MMR requirement or anything, anyone is welcome to join so long as they're DOTAFire members, just don't be an arsehole 8{3

Confirmed/Unconfirmed (can you definitely play at this time or not?) Don't hesitate to put yourself down as Unconfirmed, there's no penalty for not showing up, especially when you're only saying you might show up. Also be specific about which days are Confirmed/Unconfirmed.

Crazy Captains Mode is something BRILLIANT that i made up to make the inhouses a bit more interesting. While i personally did enjoy most games regardless of the picks, the constant 'spin to win trio' can make the games a bit stale. So i spiced things up with this.

Rules: The mode that will be played is captains mode, BUT the catch is that heroes are not to lane in their normal positions. This means that for example exclusive supports will be ran as cores, cores as supports, and some versatile heroes like Axe and Mirana cant be picked at all since all positions are quite normal for them.

What is normal then?

I consider normal anything that is commonly run both in pubs AND in the professional scene. I wont consider stuff like

Morphling offlane normal yet, since despite being run a lot on NEL or EEL it isnt normal in both pubs and the pro scene (yet?).

Exclusively but common pubby things like Nature's Prophet or Ursa jungle is also not allowed.

The potency of the hero in the position does NOT matter. The thing that matters is if it is run commonly in either pubs of the pro scene.

I consider things like Warlock or Venomancer safe/midlane common.

Captains mode is just being run for a small strategic aspect and convenience. Its not supposed to be a 5 man mid derpfest. The normal lane configuration's are supposed to be used, its just that the heroes standing in specific positions aren't supposed to make a lot of sense.

Because of the above points the captains are supposed to draft heroes that the players actually want to play. CM is just used for convenience and so that we dont end up with 2 players who want to go mid for example, which would obviously happen in AP.

If you disagree with a hero picked for you, don't hesitate to let everyone know so we can repick and change your hero, if it wasn't banned. I want everyone to have fun and not be stuck with something they don't want to play.

So get on your offlane Spectre and Anti-Mage, your mid Disruptor and Crystal Maiden, your carry Ogre Magi and Dazzle, and you support Sniper and Riki!!!!

Also i wouldnt be a good idea to shout IM GOING TO PLAY 'hero name', because remember the mode is CM and he might just get banned.
