Forge of Creation 2016 - choose your quest

hey guys i wanted to do a lot of formatting and make this post super super pretty but then i realised that your all going to be doing that anyway for your submissions so i dont want to be out pretty'd thus this wall of txt... kinda, some formatting...ish


this years forge will be slightly different from previous ones. yes you will be in groups. yes you will be creating heroes/items for this fine game. but im going to be running a new style of group stages.

first i will explain the competitions stages.

round one will be the group stages or first phase of "the warrior, the rogue and the spellbinders.". groups of 5 will compete against each other with the winner and runner up and third placed of each group moving into the second round. each group will be judged by another group.

groups will end on the 20/6/2016 i will then let each group know what other group they are judging and voting submissions will be accepted from the 24/6/2016 through to the 30th. results will be posted within 4 days or at the latest 6/6/2016.

round 2 is second phase of "the warrior, the rogue and the spellbinders."

this will start on the 11/6/2016

this will be a group of 9. the top 4 will move on to the finals. this will be a self judged group with the judging panel only coming in for any tie breakers.

submission end date is 2 weeks from the 11th.

the finals or third phase will be held with the top 3 receiving prizes. this will be soley judged by the panel. plus with a community vote for bonus points.

Rules:

pretty simple

try not to copy work already done ( if you do or think someone has done let me know and ill send it to the judging panel for examination)

dont collab (dont receive help from outside sources)

dont cheat (though how this is possible i do not know lmao :P

when judging refrain from language i would use :D haha

be fair and friendly. FAIR being the key word here... dont be a **** cause you want to win be a **** cause the hero is badly created but judge it fairly.

deadlines are locked. no extensions. no submission no compete. goes for judging as well. you dont submit judging in time. you will be docked the maximum points you could give from your final score.

ok so i am getting this question a lot and honestly i 10000% should have explained this a whole lot better apologies!!!

so i will explain exactly how this works.

there are three quests too choose from.

once you choose a quest you then pick a choice from that quest to submit your first creation ON.

ONE CHOICE. not all three. JUST ONE.

if you move onto the NEXT round you may use another quest OR use the same quest but another choice.

IF YOU DO USE THE SAME QUEST BUT ANOTHER CHOICE you will be rewarded with a plus 5 points to your score.

SO CHOOSE YOUR QUESTS CAREFULLY. THINK AHEAD.

Yes one choice might be awesome this round but what if the other two you cant think of anything. (i personally thinks this adds a bit of strategy to it but thats just me :P.

any futher questions dont hesitate to ask and btw im at lvl 330 atm and ohhh boy did i get some JUICY THINGS!!!

I'm just slightly confused. Are we choosing one quest, or do we create something for each category?

you pick one choice from a single quest and submit based off of that.

Wait so if I use a quest from "The Rogue" for example do I have to make something rogue-like or can I make something that isn't really like a rogue but it fits the quest I chose.

Also how do I create spoilers.

Also can I PM you my submission before I submit it so I know if I've done it right.

Question : We are picking a quest from one of the Battle Pass quests and creating an item or hero designed to complete that quest more easily?

Also when will the team comps be released? Can I make a request to put previous winners like Yzreel into a single pool? Haha

Pardon me, do I post my hero as a whole thread or do I post it in the FoC group thread? Oh and is there a delay before I can post my hero?

Who here can vote on the submissions?

I'm not entirely clear on this - are we in the "group stages" round one now? If so, do we just do a generic set of ideas, or do we use the 'paths' theme from round two? If so, do we need to do a new set in round two?

updated with more clarity (kek) hopefully its easier to understand sorry again. you are in round one - group stages / phase one of the quests!

pick a quest and a choice and go forth and create!



voting.judging is done in round one only by other groups. round 2 is self judged with judges coming in for tie breakers. round three is panel judged with a community aspect. if you would like to throw your hat in the ring to be a judge pm me.



you post it in your FoC group thread. check the main thread for dates.



the choices for each quest are in the spoilers. pick one choice and use that. for more information check the first comment/thread starter.

you may make a hero anything-like as long as it follows along with you choice within the quest.

you may ask me for clarification or questions regarding the FoC but i will not give feedback on creations.

I am not here to win anything...not like I could win something if I tried...
I just want to toss out ideas and see what people think about it.
But as we will have to judge later: I have read through the whole thing 3 times but can't find how many points we are able to give for the submissions.
