So over time I have played Dota I have used many guides, but as I have become more experienced I have started experimenting a lot with my item builds and tried to perfect them. Although you may presume I'm gonna tell you about Crystal Maiden or something I'm actually gonna talk about what build I use for windranger nowadays. The path of Windranger has been a really rough one for me, I've used a lot of different builds and played a lot of different roles, but overall found myself lacking in impact in games, so I decided to tailor a build to my own playstyle, not saying that other people don't use this build, but it's one I personally used out of my own mind. I play her as a solo offlane almost always now, and build something like this: Phase > Force Staff and once I've got these two items, I go for Aghs next, and then split push towers, roam around and help set up ganks and solo kills for my team, after this I go Blink Dagger and then I am done with my core items. After this for late game I go for Scythe/Shivas and for defensish items I get bkb or Linkens depending on the game, I also will pick up a desolator if we really need fast tower push. My ideal end build will be: Travel Boots, Scythe of Vyse, Bkb/Linkens, Aghs, Force Staff, Blink (Deso or Shivas Guard if I decide to sell force staff.)

I've been playing her as a ganking/splitpusher more recently, I'll also buy wards occasionally to help lift some weight off our team supports, so in a way I play her sorta as a postion 3/ really greedy pos 4. Dunno how this ended up being my windranger story, but anyway.

IF you want to, post your personal build(s) below and why you like it(them).

I have a Venomancer build that I have named the "Annoying-as-****" build, in which I get an Orb of Venom as a starting item, max Poison Sting first, and get a Rod of Atos at some point. I get stats over wards for the damage and then they're slow as hell while I spit on them to death. It's so annoying. I go the standard Agh's Blink though when I lane with an Omni, though (me and REKT.Squashauge like to run that lane to get 10 kills in 5 minutes).

I like to make lion a semi-carry. Although I never try it in actual game but it works well in bot match. Take mid lane and max Q>E>W. First get any 2 from bottle, wand, and urn. Then go aghanim for tankiness, as well as deadlier finger. Dagon/ethereal are generally ignored because lion has a weak farming potential, so I will go for mjollnir/desolator. Common item build boots>any 2 of sustaining items> power tread (sometimes I get phase boots but lion will have sucky attack speed)>helm of dominator and mjollnir, or desolator>monkey king bar (there are no specific item choice beyond this point because the game will usually ends at this point)
My face -> ( / *3*)/

I really like support Warlock, quite often I'll roll most of the game with nothing more than brown boots and an Urn of Shadows. Arcane Boots and Mekansm for luxury, Refresher Orb, Necronomicon or Scythe of Vyse for super-luxury (Agh's is no good by the time I'm likely to get it). Maybe a Ghost Scepter occasionally.

Basically I don't think he needs that much equipment to be effective, great strength and intelligence gain mean you don't really need anything there, your initiation spell is long range so you don't need mobility. Portable fountain FTW.

To add to the heresy, I frequently go W-Q-W-E-E-R for that early access to Upheaval. I really don't understand why people don't like that spell, it's massively OP - up to 84% huge AOE slow that lasts for nearly 20 seconds. Obviously that depends on the rest of my lane being kill-capable and the opposition not being packed with ultra-mobile heroes.

I've been playing around with mid Ogre Magi in bot matches. Nearly ready for a public outing!

Max Ignite first, lane control and harass, and get at least 1 early point in Bloodlust but apart from that it's fairly standard maxing Fireblast second. If you cannot get a kill in lane, or have other heavy nukers, put more in Bloodlust though.

For items i have been going Phase Boots > Eul's Scepter of Divinity > Sange and Yasha > Blink Dagger and then a choice of Shiva's Guard/ Aghanim's Scepter/ Assault Cuirass/ Eye of Skadi. Even if you go Arcane Boots with the Eul's, S&Y and Bloodlust you have crazy good movespeed, and on top of Ignite you can kite/chase down forever.

You fall off pretty hard, but my god you can dominate early and get ahead enough to stay relevant. You are so strong, high dps, high nukes, slows... So fun.

I'm sure this has been done, but i just did it while waiting for friends to finish a game and had a riot!

:). Y'see, I still don't really understand this reaction. Sure in Pro games 'Lock is a timing based team fight hero who's very level and farm hungry so he can own within his window. He makes a poor pro support because he lacks early level kills/roaming/stun and needs 6 asap.

However...pubs are rarely so structured. You might end up mid, offlane, dual or tri lane support. Once you get over the idea that you're not going to be Aghs/Refresher you can start to look at the hero for what he does bring to the table as a support:

- Great babysitter / denier / harasser
- Ooddles of teamfight for the team that made poor picks, even without equipment
- A really strong slow that most people seem to have no idea he possesses
- Strong strength / int gains and long spell CDs mean you never really need that much equipment

I am personally a huge fan of dagon Broodmother. I know it's been seen a bit in the pro scene(zai) but I like getting it every time I play brood, which, admittedly, isn't a lot. But still
when a thing is done, it's done. Don't look back.

Trying to find the ez win ez katka build for Alchemist ATM.

The plan:
1)Get a nickname regarding autism
2)Pick an avatar with money/gold etc.
3)Find game onn a Russian server.
4)Pick Alchemist and instalock safelane.
5)Get Tango and a Soul Ring recipe.
6)Skill Acid Spray and Greevil's Greed with a value point in Unstable Concortion(may be skipped).
7)Get Phase Boots, Quelling Blade, Mask of Madness and Maelstrom.
8)???
9)HOLLA HOLLA GET A DOLLA(ignore your teammates and farm while listening to russian profanity(and music if you opt))

If you feel it isn't enough(it really isn't), get Mjollnir and Battle Fury.

Biggest suckcess so far: http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/1381989851 Literally had the most gold, lh and GPM I've ever had in a pub game. The most enjoyable moment was when I came bot to defend a lane against Broodmother. She sent her spiders in and killed them(and nearly killed herself) with Statich Shield. I momentally raised 1.7k out of that, almost half of my Battle Fury(that I sold for Black King Bar(that I sold, pardon, destroyed for Butterfly)).
