Isn't the reason there are Viper builds using Manta is because his illusions get his nethertoxin?

Yasha is generally bad for Heroes who build only damage items, as Manta Style illusions won't be buffed up and Sange and Yasha is usually a bad pickup: some of them are Gyrocopter (because of Flak Cannon), Faceless Void (because he usually builds MoM, Daedalus and/or Mjollnir), Phantom Assassin (because of Phantom Strike) and Ursa (because of Overpower). Sniper can be considered one of them because, much like Void, you don't usually build stats and AGI on him.

As for SnY, I usually build it on STR Heroes that need extra movement speed like Sven, Lifestealer, Chaos Knight and Tiny: they also have a way of doing high damage, so they benefit more from attack speed than raw damage. And about AGI Heroes, I rarely pick it up on Shadow Fiend, Troll Warlord and Terrorblade, all of which already have high damage as said above and might need more chasing power. I've never tried it on Templar Assassin, but it should work on her as well.

EDIT: Manta Style on Riki is actually awesome because it lets you scout with invisible illusions and check if the enemy has vision.

IMO for TB manta is better as meta illusions hit pretty HARD. Rather than SnY i prefer skadi over ANY hero except those who build BOTH manta and halberd or have a conflicting orb.

As for riki yeah, manta is AWESOME, way better than MoM basher **** noobs make.
Skadi manta MID riki

My mustache has no time for reading! 8{D

That's one reason, yes, but again it's useful on any Hero if you need the Purge, Viper included, this is usually the main reason imo.

I do build Manta on TB too, way better. SnY is only useful when you're behind and you need to build a Halberd or, viceversa, when you're so ahead you can go SnY into Butterfly or something.
