As the title says, is Wex- Exort Invoker viable?
I tried it with a couple of unfair bot games and this is what i observed.

Pros:
+Highest Damage Output
+Ez last-hiting/harassing with Alacrity kappa
+Good Early game presence with Sun Strike
+Very good if thier are other initiators in your team that has a good disable (i.e Enigma, Magnus, Tidehunter)

Cons:
-Weak to harass
-Needs an initiator to be effective
-Cannot kill by his own in the laning phase
-No disables

Nuetral:
=Minimum utility, Maximum Damage

So is it viable or no?

I'd say it's experimental/semi legit.
Problem is, nobody as of yet has given a satisfying way to play WE invoker.
All I've ever seen is right-click Invoker with Alacrity, and I think everyone can agree that it's horrible.
But I think you can make it work.

He has all the utility from an early EMP as well as all the damage from Chaos Meteor. That's a huge advantage, since missing out on EMP is really the big downside of Quas-Exort (as well as relying on the overnerfed Forge Spirit/ Cold Snap).

Only issue is, he needs some way to set up his skills since he has no disable.

So either you team up with Faceless Void or something and EMP/meteor/sunstrike in chrono...or you try to set up your stuff yourself with either level 2 Ice Wall or Shiva's Guard. Those are the only two AOE disables you can access in a "practical" way, since with low Quas level your Tornado and Deafening Blast will suck.
Nice thing also is that you have Ghost Walk that allows you to initiate.

- The "weak to harass" is a non-issue. Just buy a Bottle like any normal solo mid.
- No early kill potential in lane...don't underestimate level 1 Chaos Meteor. This spell owns in the early game and you only need level 4 to use it.

Worth experimenting definitely. EMP is what you need to focus on, since it's the only thing you miss out on by playing QE invo.
Just don't play right-click Invoker :)

Very well then, i should try to experiment with Wex- Exort Invoker in a real game,
but meh i guess enemies won't be stupid to stay in postion after throwing Chaos Meteor and EMP into thier faces, hence he cannot kill "by his own" and would need some kind of disable, but im in the trench MMR and maybe it would work. :) thanks anyways.

You can actually get easy kills with 1 quas. You Cold Snap + Chaos Meteor their face. Use a Force Staff to get close, then just fly away.

They should be dead by then, if anything, use Ice Wall to set it up.

I actually did try a WE invoker once. It was in 6.79 or 6.80 I guess. We had a tree in our team, so it wen't pretty well. ALthough I did put 2 early points in q cuz I thought I'll go for QE but I accidently leveled W twice . That was the only time I did that though.

You def' need euls for this to work.
So you euls emp, after you goomball into deaf blast. On paper that sounds good, but you need to be next to the target since deafening is bad with 1 quas, like hams said. I feel like it could be good but the lack of cc really hurts a invoker, and I think there are just better nukers than him with a better amount of cc than him if you go for that build. It's as situational as sand king aghanims.

I think you could make this work if you're against a wraith king carry or a medusa, something like that. A kind of anti-carry hero who kills the carries who needs their mana to be effective. If it's a pure right clicker I think you're just better going quas exort. I guess it pwns squishy supports as well, but you can already with quas exort and quas wex.
