Start with Lich, Lion, Sniper/Drow, SK and Warlock IMO.

I think these 6 heroes help teach the game well enough while still allowing a new player to contribute to the team.

I have found Lifestealer is very easy when you farm properly. But he is also very easy to get cocky and suicide dive thinking you can 2v5 with a Lina.

I alos found Juggernaut to be very easy.
