I normally play with a slark (a pretty good one imo (well winning a game after turtling a lot with 2 feeding team mates he can still rape teams) but he isn't going the normal skill build (he goes leap-shift-pact as he uses pact for anti stun not for burst unless he can finish). when I play Abaddon (heavily aura focussed Abaddon with the new boots vlads drum AC)

this patch slark got a good indirect buff as Silver Edge is incredibly strong disabling passives and making slark a little bit more tanky (my friend rushes Sange for the S&Y normallty but now silvers edge asap) Also a Slark can be pretty online the moment he gets silvers edge against people that rely on passives a lot (E.G. PA, sniper)

4. Pushing as a team really shuts down a snowballing Slark. When I play Slark, I am looking for pick offs on lone heroes that are caught off guard, farming their jungle, ancients or a lane without support. I trigger my Shadow Blade, run into your jungle and look for heroes that I can burst down with Pounce and Dark Pact. If your team is 5 manning my towers, I'm a very sad Slark.[/quote]

gather your team against them and slark can rape once again even if focussed and otherwise your other carries will win you the fight.

A thing that everyone underestimates against Slark is that his mana pool is atrocious. So, pick Keeper of the Light, and Mana Leak him in fights. Then, push him to drain mana more with Blinding Light. Farm some in the jungle so you can get a Force Staff (pretty good way to drain all his mana, stun, and make him miss 80% if you time it after his Dark Pact - or if he cannot Dark Pact at all.) and a Ghost Scepter so you don't get focused down in fights.

Oooor he can chose not to move during Mana Leak, and he'll probably ult so he doesn't get focused down while not moving, effectively wasting his ultimate. If he just ults, run and kite him. His mana will be gone, and then you can swoop back in.

If the line-up allows it, go for some KoTL.
