Namely, their Playstyle Pentagon. I'll play 20 unranked games before New Year in attempt to build a perfect pentagon with different heroes and record the pentagon changes. I'll also use YASP match data to try and see how bought wards, hero healing, tower damage, KDA etc. affect the pentagon, maybe to a point of exploit(i.e buy all the wards and place them in one game on a core hero to see how warding alone boosts your "Supporting" value).
Right now my "pentagon" looks like this:
I will record my stats in the table and maybe add some notes as the "research" goes on, and hopefully, come to some conclusions.
Some observations so far:
- Fighting is not just about hero damage and hero kills + assists - in fact, it seems that damage and k+a is not that important for Fighting at all as I got +2 to Fighting in games where I did way less damage and had much less k+a/overall team kills ratio than in games that were replaced by them.
- Supporting seems to be influenced much more by hero healing than ward/courier purchases.
- Pushing seems depend exclusively on tower damage, which is kinda expected, but still needed confirmation. When a game with 11.7k TD was replaced by a game(#12) with 569 tower damage on my hero, the Pushing stat dropped by a whole 12 points while it has dropped by only 5(!) after previous 11 games.

I also forgot to take a shot of my pentagon after Game 14 blyat
I also haven't checked some things, like dependence of item use on supporting, every time I played a non-Vlad's core I forgot to get a Glimmer.
Haven't really discovered anything that wasn't kinda obvious to everyone, but at least now we know hero healing >> wards purchased/planted. I still have no idea how is Fighting calculated, must be some formulae Gaben made when he was on acid, since I can't draw a link between K+A/hero damage and it's increase/decrease.
Here's the final gif, looks like a birth of some monster to me. Should have stopped it at #15, it was the best pentagon, with an average value delta of 2.92(for comparison, my starting pentagon had an average value delta of 29.28).
Isn't the perfect pentagon .99 farming, .99 pushing and sub-30 in everything else?
Apparently I'm severely push and farm heavy guess I play too many hard carries
I've been going a lot of things that were against my nature in those games. Intentionally reducing my farm efficiency, looking for stupid fights sometimes, actually supporting(rly this is a martyrdom, especially in unranked).
I am more interested in what actually influences Fighting, since, as I already mentioned, K+A/HD do not matter that much at all. I don't even know what does tbh.
Pentagon: A plane with 5 straight sides and 5 angles.
Doesn't have to be the same sides/angles. :D
Big difference is the versatility, I guess spamming Arc Warden will do that, but it's shaping up nicely. Interesting findings about healing being so important to supports, although it kinda screws you for many heroes, unless you're building Urn/Mek every game.
Shaping up boys. If at start my playstyle figure could be called a pentagon only if you drunk a lot of strong booze, now, after 10 games, if you look at a specific angle... maybe from afar... it could be a pentagon. Still, the hardest part is ahead - Farming and Pushing just won't go down no matter how much I try to farm less and fight more, up to a point of self-harming and throwing. Still, there are 5 Arc Warden games remaining, including the one with 11.7k TD, and you can't have low tower damage and less than 600 GPM on that guy anyway, so I should probably not worry about that. The hardest part is probably going to be when I'll have to balance the pentagon out. I'll have to literally dig into the stats of the games I will replace from the pool and try to play just a bit differently.
Not at all, I just have to play different heroes and focus on farming/pushing/fighting/supporting depending on what stat I want to boost. It's about your average stats out of 20 games do you don't have to be a jack of all trades in every game you play.
Ah, I see. Also you should try Necrophos, dimo.
