I got flamed hardcore for going offlane Jakiro once, but ended up winning the lane lol.

But yeah, he's a good hero. Very underrated if you ask me. I consider him my go-to support, but that changes pretty often. He has great push/anti-push, and really good setup. Liquid Fire scales pretty damn well too as an anti-carry tool, and is always useful in pushes. Also Eul's is love, Eul's is life.

Tl;dr, I love the guy and he's useful throughout the whole game.

  • Could you list his strenghts and weaknesses?
  • On which lane do you see him? Is Jakiro offlane viable?
  • Is he rather position 5 or 4?
  • What is your experience on this hero?
  • What do you feel, when you see that there is Jakiro in the enemy team? What do you expect, and what are you afraid of?
  • What do you expect from Jakiro in your team?
  • What is your favourite item on Jakiro (and why is it Eul's Scepter of Divinity? :D).
  • Are you using Liquid Fire on auto-cast?

Strengths - strong harassment, AOE, armour, hp and mana pools.

Weaknesses - short range attack, lacks stun time, slow turn rate, unreliable casts. Lacks ability to keep enemies in AOE of Macropyre for long periods. Good pusher / flash farmer.

Offlane - hmm. Possible, but I think he's weak against a strong trilane, struggles to get much farm and no escape.

4/5 - he can play either, I think he's fine as a 5 as he doesn't really need much due to his strong mana/health pools. Viable as a 4 to get some extra equipment, doesn't need anything in particular so can pickup whatever utility needs getting the most Arcane Boots / Mekansm / Eul's Scepter of Divinity / Force Staff / Veil of Discord - even a Pipe of Insight.

Experience - like this hero a lot, he's pretty flexible and rarely just "bad". I like playing him with strong AOE disablers. Lacks burst damage.

Against him - Liquid Fire is really unpleasant with some levels in it.

On my team - good setup / DoT and pushing. Want him to land powers effectively from behind the front line and keep Liquid Fire on the enemy carry. Utility / consumables as required.

Favourite items - Boots of Speed and an Urn of Shadows is enough for me. Extras as already mentioned.

Autocast - hell no, draw creep aggro, mistime usage and lose 200 range? No, press the button!

Since all of his strengths and weakness has already been told by these pros ^^^ i will only answer a few

On which lane do you see him? Is Jakiro offlane viable?
- I think he's viable as offlaner, but not solo offlaner. Maybe 2-1-2 lane

Is he rather position 5 or 4?
- He is a definite #4 for me, as he needs Eul's Scepter of Divinity to go online. But feel free to switch to #5 if you are playing against bas***ds who picked Drow Ranger Sniper Shadow Fiend and Doom

What is your experience on this hero?
- Well I never play him if i'm alone. His comboes need setups. I always play him if i'm playing with my friends. He's a great pusher, and when you are facing squishy heroes, you will have a good time playing. The only problem is he lacks means to escape from ganks which is why [[force staff is always core for me]].

What do you feel, when you see that there is Jakiro in the enemy team? What do you expect, and what are you afraid of?
- I feel nothing. I know how to play him, of course I know how to counter him. I expect to get harassed, and of course, I need to buy more tangoes. I'm afraid of his follow-up. If I got stunned even for 1 sec, I'm dead. Stun > Ice Path > Liquid Fire / Dual Breath both deal DoT so the same la > right clicks > dead.

What do you expect from Jakiro in your team?
- I expect him to get at least 1 tower once everybody reaches level 6, or he has max points on Liquid Fire, and also I expect him to

What is your favourite item on Jakiro (and why is it Eul's Scepter of Divinity? :D).
- Well Eul is my fav, but there is something even better. Rod of Atos. I see Wulfstan also build it rite? Was it Wulf? Anyway, Cripple! You will have a guarantee stun, and that 1 sec used for you to rise your mouth, ready the ice, and shot it [A.K.A Casting Animation] can be used by your friends to attack him.

Are you using Liquid Fire on auto-cast?
- No. Who does??

Anyway thats all

I think Jakiro is a very good counter for many right clickers. His Liquid Fire is great harras.
He is my goto counter for void --> Chronosphere is coiuntered by Ice Path and Liquid Fire its funny to see the void waste his ult.

Solo offlane? But he specializes in dealing chip damage. Besides if he is up against a trilane he wont be able to take the tower in his lane quickly, requiring him or the trilane to rotate

1) Strong in lane due to constant Liquid Fire harrass, strong during transition to midgame due to strong push from Liquid Fire, strong in midgame teamfights because of Dual Breath and Ice Path plus Macropyre essentially splits the enemy team in half.

2) Can be either support or offlane. If you put him support on safelane you need a reliable stun to setup for Ice Path. On offlane you need to have a melee matchup so you can harrass with Liquid Fire

3) 4 because he gets a lot stronger with Eul's Scepter of Divinity and Blink Dagger

4) Jakiro is extremely strong in a teamfight and/or push lineup. In a ganking kind of lineup not so much. The depush and push on this hero is pretty bonkers.

5) I expect heavy harrass and difficult teamfights. He alone will force Black King Bar before most other items.

6) Should constantly harrass during laning, push during transitioning phase and have high impact in midgame teamfights.

7) Eul's Scepter of Divinity is the best item. You get movespeed, mana regen AND have a reliable stun now. BEST ITEM

8) Liquid Fire on autocast is cancer. You use it when you don't need it and don't have it when you need to cast it. Manually casting it is much much better.
