as you can see from my Dotabuff account, I have a much higher winrate on the Dire side (69.57% in the last month) than on the Radiant side (58.33% in the last month). My dire winrate has always been higher and I don't know why. I have friends with a way better radiant winrate, so I highly doubt that the Dire have an inherent advantage. So... Is my brain wired for attacking downwards? Or do I just like dark color schemes?

Well before the map change there was a big advantage on dire's side (rosh, paths etc.)
Since the new map I guess it's just a matter of preference, really.

Differences basically include pathing like ^ he said, and the jungles are very different and different camps are in different places. for example, often times you will see pros running Enigma in the jungle only on the dire side because there are 2 camps very close together that Enigma can just switch between and get farm faster. However u see theyll run Nature's Prophet on radiant becuase he can Teleportation to a ward cliff and jungle from there without taking dmg.

pro's dont really run a jungle NP anymore. he much better in other area's.

ummm

ok so

1. radiant mid is better.
- harder to gank
- closer to tower from river
- more juking/ closer juking spots

2. radiant offlane is better
- able to pull lane from hard camp
- safer pathing
- longer no vision jukes with the new secret shop area
- closer to the secret shop

3.dire jungle is better
- requires more ward coverage
- more height differences.
- safer farm (if they have smoke since it pops before they see you so you have like 1 second of reaction time instead of none)

4.dire is better STILL for rosh
- can blink/force into pit easily and safely if they dont have vision.
- easier escape
- easier to defend and protect
- better initiation spots early game

basically radiant have better spacing
dire has better "game relative" things

Dire is much better for the first runes. Their highground is closer to the spawn area.

not really/ radiant is better for both.

at top then have full vision and are safe from vision. though maybe half a second longer pathing. if you take

at bottom they have full vision and are closer. but take longer to get there. but are still there well before the rune pops.

what you said is not right at all.

I, ofr one, also don't get the logic. My stats for Radiant are 483 games with 59% wr though for Dire it is 540 games with 51 wr. Seems like complete nonsense to me.

Just checked mine, 58% Radiant, 54% Dire.

I prefer jungling as Dire, easily, but otherwise i actually prefer playing on the Radiant side. I think a lot of it comes down to psychology. Radiant is lighter, so my mind tells me vision is better...
Also i think the initial block is easier from the Radiant side. Seeing where the creeps are and how your spamming 's' affects their positioning is slightly easier without your hero's model in the way (for the mid/offlane. Safelane is basically the same).
ALSO, safe lane for Radiant is easier to defend imo. Get the T1 down, ward the cliff by Rosh and your hard carry is getting all the farm in the world.

one big difference from my perspective - since i play it quite a lot - is the offlane. Radiant offlane is so much better, its almost disgusting. Since i havent played mid, i cant really say, but wast there a time when radiant midlane could actually pull neutrals into the lane? If thats not the case anymore i still think radiant might have the advantage: its way harder to gank and the creepcamps STILL are closer to the lane ...something a Shadowfiend for instance can utilize.

Let's say you have a 20p coin and a 50p coin, you toss both coins 100 times each. The 20p coin falls on heads 69 times, whereas the 50p coin only lands on heads 49 times. You could argue that there's an advantage to the 20p coin when it comes to drawing heads, or you could just accept it as luck.

https://www.fourmilab.ch/rpkp/experiments/statistics.html

Odds are either you've gotten better this last month in general (your overall winrate has gone up by 5% compared to the last 6 months), or you just had some luck with lineups, possibly even both. We're only talking about 47 games atm, so it's not that unlikely to see something as low as 30% or high as 70%.
