Lately I had a game where I was Magnus, and everything was going so well, we were dominating for over 20 kills, and we had a Spectre in our team, what could go bad?

Well look at her item build:

She rushed refresher orb as the first big item! No damage, no health, but she could use her ulti twice, how useful!
Me and the rest of the team we gave our best, but in the late game Juggernaut started to become too strong, and we didn't have enough damage to win teamfights... so depressing when you do your best and lose because of an unpredictable someone else. It was a won game if it wasn't for spectre... and I kept asking myself the question that is also the title of this thread.

Sometimes it's awkward that the bot match are more enjoyable than normal matchmaking.

that's all there is to it sadly. Even raising your MMR will not let you escape terrible players. 8{(
