Umm guys I just wanna say there is no such thing as denying in LoL so I dont thik he knows that xD
You guys did mention denying about Lich using sacrifice but then its not the only way to deny (I know you guys know :V just saying).

And towers can be denied too :V I think so you wont lose gold when you lose a tower IDK I read alot but not that good in game so :P
"When we get attacked we fight back for we have faith in our side"

I rarely insult people(like real insult) for I am defenseless against them.

But when I do, I make my point clearly

Each enemy gets 100 gold when you deny a tower, instead of the usual bounty.

You can also Deny Heroes with certain Debuffs, e.g. Doom, Poison Nova, etc. Some Heroes can also Deny themselves by taking fatal Damage from their own skills, e.g. Pudge, Abaddon, Techies, etc. You can also "Deny" yourself by dying to Neutral Creeps.

Blubbles in a Nutshell Guide to Dota 2

1. Laning Phase - 1 - 10 min

Buy your starting items. Go into your lane (hard lane is the short one on the side , midlle is the middle one, and safe lane is the long one with the bigger forest near it.) You will get the last hit on creeps to gain gold. Save your gold and get decent beginning items (usually about 1000 - 2000 gold). Play safe, don't do stupid things but try to get auto attacks on enemy heroes whenever you can (in between last hitting). As you get better items and level up your spells you might want to try for a kill. Dont eb stupid, dont overextend. Play safe. Get more gold.

2. Mid game - 10 - 30 minutes

Now is the time to kill. You have decent items and your ultimate. the gankers (heroes who are good at surprise attacking and killing, ex. most agility heroes) will come into your lane and try to get kills. Help them out. Get gold off the kill and start saving for big ticket items (2000 - 4000 gold). You will probaly have the entire team fight each other at a few points int he game. these fights turn the tide of battle. You want to participate in these fights to get gold and kills. You should also be moving around the map alot and pushing alot to try and get close to victory.

2. Late Game - 30 + minutes

You will have your core items and maxed out spells. Now is less about kills and more about pushing / defending. If you see a solo hero pushing or walking around and you aare with a buddy, only then go in for the kill. Now is the time when there will be the most friction with teamates. As the pressure to win sets upon your team they will grow incresingly desptrate and will become much stupider, diving enemies, fighting an uphill battle, etc. Try to calm them down and group up everyone in one lane. start pushing with your 5 man group. When people see a 5 man push they will : 1) Freak the **** out and try to despratly stop you with two people or: 2) Scream at their team to come and help them. Always hit and run. Never be greedy. Rinse and repeat until you win.

My recommendations for a noob : whatever you do do not pick Sniper, Bloodseeker, Riki, Drow Ranger or Pudge. Playing heroes like Lion , Juggernaut, and Bristleback will get you definite respect, even though they are fairly easy to understand and play.

heroes like tiny, kunkka, windrunner, and bristleback can be very fun and u wont be called a noob for playing well with them. PLS STAY AWAY FROM RIKI, BOUNTY HUNTER, AND BROODMOTHER. this is because u will get so used to relying on invisibility, u can t sucessfully play any other heroes without invis. also gl

I tried bristleback and it changed my life :D Though now it seems that everyone is afking, every match ive played in the last few days has had atleast one afk, usually on our side.... Last match we were 3v5 the whole time, and it lasted 50 minutes so we could have probably won if they wouldnt have afked. Seriously guys stop it its selfish and douchy.

I'm a full on n00b (played less than 100 games) and i bloody love support. Some (most) people get their kicks from dealing the killing blow to fools, i like nothing better than a shackles on someone who think's they're getting away. No Sir.

Me in teamfights (as Shadow Shaman):
Hex you, Eul's you, Shakle's you (Wards very dependent on initiation). Lovely stuff!

A fair amount of time i die before i can get it all off, or it doesn't go to plan some other way. But when it does it's glorious.

From my limited knowledge i'd suggest having a decent variety in your personal roster. I can play, to a level of effectiveness, around 10 Heroes (more than that at a far worse level ( Earthshaker, I'm looking at you...)). There are more Supports in there than anything else but i also have other roles (carries, gankers, pushers... Working on initiation). Mainly it add's variety. I play Shadow Shaman more than anything else, but I'll rarely play 3 games in a row as him, then it can get boring. So I'll throw in Slark or Dragon Knight. Later on it also gives you options if your usual pick would be a bad matchup/the rest of your team insta-pick 2 supports/3 carries.

I've recently started looking to support. And my favourite support is also shadow shaman, but it comes and goes. Sometimes i feel like supporting but mostly i just think that meh, id much rather go tank. I love tanking, the playstyle just suits me, i dont even like hard carrying much. For me these days it pretty much goes either tank or support, but i dotn master either of those roles yet so im now focusing on maximum two roles at the same time. When i get betetr at those, maybe ipick something else to learn.
