dagon on Morphling? If you're playing seriously, no. But if you're playing a silly pub, you're solo mid, and you're 5/0/5 at 10 minutes, rushing Dagon is really fun to just have a laugh. It changes from those boring Midas/Linkens builds.

If you like Ethereal Blade + dagon, Morphling is probably one of the "least bad" heroes to do that on, yes. You pew pew people, and you can go regen your mana with replicate : TP to base and Morph Replicate back. Just please no Dagon 5, just get Dagon 1 and go straight Eblade, feed the troll a bit but not too much :)

But just to be clear, Eblade+Dagon is a troll build on any hero who isn't Tinker or Nyx Assassin, or MAYBE Skywrath Mage.

Me and my friends once played a troll Dagon team with Pugna, Axe, Riki, Witch Doctor and Leshrac:
  • Pugna can amplify its damage with Decrepify
  • Axe can use it to set up his Culling Blade
  • Riki can use it while invisible
  • Witch Doctor can amplify its damage with Maledict
  • Leshrac can combine it with Split Earth and the other nukes

You don't want to know how it ended...

Yeah, I was on holiday and didn't know how to tell it to Dotafire.

Anyway, we had an epic early game (though it took some time for our Leshrac to get the Dagon) and were getting kills, but we didn't exploit Pugna's pushing power and dragged it into mid-late game. And not only they had an Anti-Mage, they also bought magic resistance and all that stuff...
Long story short: if you want to play a Dagon team, end it as soon as possible and make sure there's no Anti-Mage in the enemy team.

Dagon Witch Doctor is amazing by the way, if Maledict didn't work as well with the Urn of Shadows I'd pick up a Dagon on him every time.
