How would people go about dealing with the off-lane Void nerf wise? Since it's primarily there for the combo's you get with Chronosphere from stuff like Mystic Flare and Exorcism, so how would you change it to balance it out?
If you are trying to deal with that whole playstyle, you wouldn't just deal with Backtrack, since the issue isn't Backtrack. I mean, you could go for something like make it so things caught in Chronosphere can only take damage from Void? Granted it won't be so extreme as that, but it'll probably be similar to that.
Other things that I could see happen is changes to Static Link to make it slightly easier to break. Like say Blinking or Puck using Phase Shift breaks the link, or something on those lines.
I think the only nerfs void needs are once that make his offlane harder. He isnt amazing as a carry and the meta moving away from deathball will do the rest.
I agree completely with the deathball Faceless Void nerfs. Void is a good hard carry, but as a carry he's not OP in any way, he's perfectly balanced. Nerfing backtrack or whatever is not the issue. The issue is nerfing damage in Chronosphere that is not done by Void himself but by his allies. Because then Chrono basically becomes an overpowered Black Hole with half the cooldown and which can't be countered in any way.
So yeah, "Units under the effects of Chronosphere take 40% reduced damage from sources that are not controlled by Void himself" sounds good.
I'm all in for a Blink Dagger nerf also, blink is just too good as an escape mechanism right now. I'd say "Blink dagger has a 0.4 second cast delay". Just like antimage or QoP's blink. This way poeple can't abuse it as an instant escape anymore. I always call bull**** when a Pudge or Ursa makes it away at the last minute with their blink dagger, because these heroes are supposed to have no escape mechanism.
I honestly think that Void doesn't need a nerf. If you can establish good control early game (KotL, I'm looking at you), Void's effectiveness really falls off.
I think the patch needs to focus more (I hope the patch focuses more) on pubstomp heroes that are harder to counter and snowball like hell *cough cough* Bloodseeker *cough* if not countered earlier game. This includes Clinkz, Mirana, Lich to a degree (Chain Frost especially. Maybe slight changes to reduce its effects), and, of course, Bloodseeker. The issue about bloodseeker is that his early game is so strong (levels 6-12), that he snowballs too quickly and will lay the foundation for an essentially ensured victory if not silenced IMMEDIATELY upon entering a fight.

All heroes like Riki Drow Ranger and more need to fix their own problems now. Also pro player from unknown site said Juggernaut needs a buff by replacing ability on one of them. I've agreed to his opinion because he is just a plain carry with just escape mechanism and omnislash. Just saying if anyone want to hear about it.
So this is the patch we been waiting for, hoping for a great buffs on non-pro scene heroes.

The reason why Shadow Shaman is op are his Mass Serpent Ward are pretty good. If they want to nerf him, I think increasing level 1 mana cost and reducing level 3 mana cost would be fine. This can change him as he will need Arcane Boots badly and never going to be hard support again at mid game, he will be kicked out at ease from current meta. That is my suggestion to Icefrog and Valve. Or just leave him alone for a later patch, especially Razor and other heroes. please do not remake their skills unless it's a buff for non-pro scene heroes. The patch should be best for everyone without being disheartened for their favorite heroes..

Right now juggernaut hardly benefits from his crit, he is squishy, has no lockdown, melee, and no mobility so can be kited.
The only reason to pick him is for his ward, his carry potential is just so lackluster.
Drow Ranger actually sees some competitive use. Admittedly most of it is down to Precision Aura being extremely good in certain line-up (Such as with Visage).
If there's an Hero that needs buffs it's Spirit Breaker. I have never seen a competitive Spirit Breaker game, and I've watched a lot of VODs of competitive games over the past year. It's kinda sad really. I mean, even Medusa got a tiny bit of TI4 usage.
Skywrath Mage is another hero I could see getting some nerfs. If because his post TI4 and inclusive TI4 usage has been huge. Whilst he's not format centralizing like Faceless Void for death pushes, it's probably a likely candidate to get some kind of hit.

Definitely. Bloodrage becoming undispellable in 6.81 is just horrible design. It only makes him a completely OP counterpick to Puck and Anti-Mage, but it still doesn't make Blood a good hero. Niche/counterpick heroes are a terrible thing in a game like DotA, it just shows poor balancing in the game - please don't make more of them.
Rupture and Thirst are fine as they are, they're pretty good skills actually now (getting thirst in ability draft is extremely fun - 700 movement speed ftw ^^). The real issue is with Bloodrage, this skill needs a full rework IMO. Bloodrage design is pretty poor, give him another skill instead.
