Trying to understand the ratings for balance and usability of my hero. I know the Lore is pretty simple, and it's not 100% original in the skills function, but the combination of them are and well, the balancing is not horrible, very far from it.

PS:
kkoopman3, Pory pointed the same I would say. Conceal and Nova are really worth talking, the other two are just meh.

Notes: This hero provoked some questions,like does his first skill calculate damage before or after mana cost, and his passive seems like it could have bad synergy with his first skill, would you not want to get low on mana and would his passive effect the mana drain per second on his ultimate, i would assume not because it would make the skill never end.

To be fair, I didn't look at any of the hero ideas in the entries thread until I posted mine so I don't subconsciously copy any idea. It was just the overlap in themes that made us choose abilities with the same effect. Also, I've already made 2 hero ideas with the same theme, so I ran out of material to use for this one.

I've also seen some other notes you've made, and the one for Bunkansee's makes it seem like you have a limited understanding of dota. Just because a hero has to combo with other heroes to be strong doesn't mean that it is underwhelming. Take Io for example. A hero that has all skills that rely on "combo-ing" with its teammates. Is that bad? No! The patented Chaos Knight - Io duo is very powerful. What I'm saying here is that reliance on teammates does not make a hero weak. Otherwise, all supports would be weak by that definition.

What makes this even more unfair is that he gave everyone a score less than or equal to 5, while he gives himself nigh perfect scores (that's not even allowed lawl).

But what is done is done. It's his call, not mine. (Just ignore the score he gave himself, it's obvious that he's trolling.)

Okay so the recurring theme I have noticed for my idea: "OMG WTF IS THIS LORE REPORT PLS!!!" and "OMG NUB L2WRITE LORE U NUB UNINSTALL MICROSOFT WORD!!!!" Basically my lore sucks, which I will try to improve on, also the originality. But I'm happy my hero seems balanced and usable, and honestly lore is not my strong point 3: <-(sad bunny face)


Also I do feel slightly happier pory :D

OKAY. FIRST:

I dont see why my hero is imbalance. All his skills are global, but in ganks (which probably take less than ten seconds) his relatively long cooldown (all, even the Mark) would allow to use his skills only once.
His first skill is basically like Zeus' lightning bolt, with longer cooldown, global effect, shorter radius, and a .5 seconds delay. Also considering its mana cost in early games. This is hard to land especially if the target is moving.
His mark needs good timing, and also the long cooldown does not mean its THAT spammable. Although i might need to add a limit.
His ultimate is a REALLY small DoT. It inky goes well when synergized with a good Mark. Even so, the enemy might only stand in the mark for a few seconds.
The only reason i see him imbalance is at level 16 (and added scepter) he can spam spells from fountain. Anyways, I appreciate you guys's rating but im just 'curious'.

Also, are we ignoring SilencersCurse? Because he didnt put my idea rating....

Originality: I understand what this means, but is a little confusing to me. Perhaps change to creativity?

I don't know why some "said" mine is imbalanced. Even IceFrog releases IMBA heroes then nerfs them. You can't create 100% balanced hero nor he can be 100% balanced.

Well, yeah. But there's a difference between being unexpectedly powerful like Imba Spirit or Phoenix and just having stupidly good abilities like a 300+ damage nuke on a 1 second cooldown, a 6-second (!) disable, and a roided up Culling Blade with 800 range. No offence, but it's really hard to see how that is balanced. I actually did MATHS in order to attempt to balance mine, and I dropped it in Year 11. Not a fun task :(
