Usually when you think of flash farmers, names like Anti-Mage, Tinker and Alchemist come to mind. But recently I've been playing a lot of Meepo, and I've come to the conclusion that he can gain exp and gold faster than any hero in the game.

Considering you get a scepter, you can potentially have 5 Meepos running around, sharing experience and gaining gold for you. Two Meepos can Poof a creepwave/jungle camp to death in about 3 seconds, which means you can clear the whole jungle in time for a fresh spawn of creeps.

Now, since you have 5 critters running around, you can really maximize your map coverage. You can send two clones to your own jungle, two to the enemy jungle, and use your main Meepo to farm any given lane.

Obviously for this to work you have to have excellent warding and map awareness, good micro skills, plus some good supports to make space. But, hypothetically, if you can pull this off safely, is this the most efficient way to farm in the game?

The best realistic farmer is Terrorblade, you can easily get 14 creepkills/second in pubs, even when you are behind, which is about as much as Burning's radiance Naga Siren where it's a 4 protect one situation.
http://dotabuff.com/players/49382246/matches?date=&faction=&hero=terrorblade&lobby_type=&game_mode=&region=&duration=20-
This guy plays Terrorblade incredibly well, even games where he gets stomped in 22 mins, he manages almost 600 GPM, he doesn't even build many farming items ( Manta Style Radiance
But yeah, Meepo is the best farmer if you aren't touched because you can farm every lane, every jungle AND take towers at the same time.

I don't know if he's the fastest gold gathering hero in the game, although he definitely has a shout. Played right, he's certainly the fastest levelling hero in the game. Thing is with Meepo that he doesn't scale as hard with items and has a shorter window of maximum opportunity (ie. when he's in the 20's and everyone else is waaay behind) and tends to leach a fair bit of XP from the rest of the team.

Yeah, I didn't even mention Naga and Terrorblade. I even played games with both of them for comparison and definitely had the best results with Terrorblade. He's the only hero that I would say comes close to Meepo. That was with Manta and Radiance btw.

I think the only way for Meepo to be good lategame and extend his window of usefulness is to build stats. I always go for Eye of Skadi and Heart of Tarrasque on him after I get Agh's, and it just makes him a lot better all around. You always have mana for poofing and netting, and considering you should have more gold than anyone else at the time, Skadi makes a HUGE difference since your clones share stats with scepter. Your damage comes from poofing and having 5 different sources of attack which add DoT and slow, so it's best to just build stats so you can actually sustain in fights. As long as you keep netting and poofing, you remain useful.

And yes, he definitely leaches exp. That's really the only downside to his farming, but I don't think its terribly major unless you have a harder carry or an exp dependant mid or something.

Generally illusion heroes with radiance are fastest farmers, if you know what you're doing you should have +10 creeps per minute.

That's generally true. But Meepo is a very unique hero who can do things that nobody else is capable of. Naga and Terrorblade farm in the same way, and have pretty similar results. However they can only use their illusions to farm for them once they have Radiance usually, which takes 15-25 mins to build. Meepo can literally start flash farming the jungle at lvl 6 or 7 (whenever he has Poof maxed and a clone). I think that's where Meepo has an advantage.

i think meepo isnt the fastest "farmer" persay, he is too farm dependent to become a "fast" farmer.

id say the fastest farmer in dota2 across all levels is Naga Siren then Tinker

she can stack and pull camps from level 1 with her illusions she can send an illusion into each camp and then Riptide for a 4 camp nuke then mop up survivors. then once Radiance is bought she can step up her farm to crazy levels.

Tinker can farm ancients from level one and when he gets boots and Rearm he can farm so fast it is crazy.

if you go for a straight farm build on Tinker you should be having at least a GPM of 700.

i had a GPM of 1022 in one game (i did have over 30 kills but)

I WILL DESTROY YOU ALL.... WITH FLUFFY BUNNIES

Look at this: http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/818532648
Only a 25 min game and 1021 GPM, It's 1 less GPM than you but he also had more than 23 less kills. No Radiance, Just a Quelling Blade for farming.
The XP graph is also pretty even.
Now look, here is a game of BurNIng's Naga Siren in a pub. http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/804268463 He went 24-2-15 in a 50 min Game and his GPM is barely at 800.
He also went for the farming build with maxing Mirror Image at level 8.
I think Terrorblade Is the fastest farmer.
