Poll Question:

Which are the best Easy, Medium and Hard Camps?
Vhouls, Medium Satyrs and Hellbears
Harpies, Wolves and Trolls
Hill Trolls, Ogres and Wildwings
Kobolds, Golems and Large Satyrs?
Something Else...

As part of a future guide/article/blog, I've had some free time to do some maths on which jungling creeps are "the best". This is based around early game - later on farming speed is such that travel time weighs heavier than killing time. It's mostly about reward/time spent, with raw damage also factored in.

Obviously this is effected by which hero you're jungling with, so I've broken it down to just the stats and come up with some intersting (and occasionally unexpected) conclusions about how best to jungle, and also about which camps you should prioritise first.

For a bit of fun...which Easy, Medium and Hard camp combination do YOU think came out ahead on the tests?

Uh...is this about Creeps "Dominated" or Creeps Farmed?

Because Dominated is easily "Harpies, Wolves and Trolls", even if Wildwings aren't in there 8{D

If it's Creeps Farmed, e.g. by using Hand of Midas, Right-Clicks, or the power of Cthulu, etc. I'd have to say Vhouls, Golems and Large Satyrs come out on top of their respective categories.

So I'd probably vote for Door #4 Bob! 8{D

This is to farm...Trolls are my fave to dominate, at least early on...although I have a distinct soft spot for Tormenter Satyrs and their cheesy nuke flinging. Can't give too much away, but one of the answers I posted came out top...

Medium satyrs are my favourite ones, but ghouls and hellbears are definitely difficult to kill (I really hate farming hellbears even in the mid game, and the attack speed reduction from the ghouls is super annoying). I'll go for hill trolls, ogres and wildwings simply because I love killing ogres; the wildwings are also easy to kill if you get the big one first, plus they don't deal much damage.

Nothing is as irritating early game as watching the healing troll undo the garbage damage you have early game...

Kobolds are the easiest to Farm since they rely on numbers to deal damage, and are easily dispatched even at low levels. They also give good EHP:Exp + Gold, this is beaten by Harpies and Vhouls, but early on, those guys can hit noticably harder

Golems only have 40 more EHP than the lowest Medium Camp (Medium Satyr Camp), but they have the 2nd highest Gold gain and a Medium Exp gain, Wolves and Satyrs are comparable, but they give twice as much Exp per EHP as the other 2 and more than half as much Gold per EHP.

Satyr

Gold/EHP

Large Satyrs have the lowewst EHP of the large Camps, but the highest Gold gain and the 2nd highest Exp gain, they're the best Large Camp to Farm, hands down.

First stab at some answers can be found here. Please note, it's a work in progress and it'd be great to have some extra pairs of eyes look it over before it's finalised.

Mr Xyrus, you can go top of the class - but you'll have to shave off that ridiculous bum-fluff mustache first!

When I'm Axe, mostly Satyr's are my favorite, because there are many units giving tons of gold and xp.

It really depends on the Hero i'm playing. If i'm Axe, for example, I really like the kobold camp so that I can get so many spins in. If I happen to be Doom bringer, I favor the Hill Trolls camp for that ultra-cheap heal, and if i'm Nature's Prophet I don't really care what creeps I kill.
There's no earthy way of knowing which direction we are going. There's no knowing where we're rowing, or which way the river's flowing. Is it raining, is it snowing? Is a hurricane a-blowing? Not a speck of light is showing, so the danger must be growing. Are the fires of Hell a-glowing? Is the grisly Reaper mowing?! YES! The danger must be growing! For the rowers keep on rowing! And there's certainly not showing ANY SIGNS THAT THEY ARE SLOWING!

Hit that Rep button, you know you want to.
