Since Faceless Void's backtrack does not use evasion as its core mechanic, and instead a heal (or so I've heard), then Ancient Apparition's ultimate Ice Blast should prevent it from procing in theory. Can someone clarify this for me here?

He still backtracks.No exception. Ice Blast heal block has a window of 0.4 seconds as I know, and backtrack is instant.

Backtrack isn't a heal, its HP gain by triggers.
Which sounds like a heal, but I promise you that there is a distinct difference in the mechanics that allows him to Backtrack.

AFAIK pretty much nothing goes through Backtrack, about the only thing that works properly is Hex - which disables his passives temporarily (guess Doom prolly would too).

Hex doesn't disable backtrack. Doom does.

On a similar note, if you put living armor on Faceless and he backtracked an attack you living armor lose a charge?
My lone druid starting items are 12 Iron wood branches, 6 for the hero and 6 for the bear. Even if the bear does not get stats more twigs are OP on any hero.

I dont think so as living armor works first so it blocks the amount depending on the level and the remaining damage can be backtracked.

was in a practice the other night with FV and stood against a sniper.

Apearantly backtrack can dodge Assassinate

O.o it happened to me, i was very shocked, overwhelmed, surprised,...

i was like, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH?

isn't that like a little op?

No.You can dodge any damage be it magical or physical.Only thing you can't dodge is Doom, it disables backtrack.
