I'm hoping someone can help me as I always seem to have massive trouble against Phantom Lancer. To me he seems like the most OP hero in the game. Early game he's comparatively strong, mid game he's usually on his way to becoming a beast and by late game I just can't hit him. I play with different types of characters but can't find a good way to stop him.

Is there a particular hero/item/strategy that counters him effectively?

Also does anyone else think he deserves a nerf?

Gyrocopter is a common counter to him. Liquid used TA and Luna to counter him. Earthshaker if he can get a good ult.

To be honest it's not that hard to outcarry PL if you have equal farm on an AM or something; you just need to kill him before the creep wave reaches him and he gets an army of illusions.

Carrying a Tp scroll helps, has a great cleave so you might want to consider him.

Cleave and good AoE usually counters him.Consider as a really good counter both late and early. always ****s his plans up,due to .ILLUSION FACTORY SHUT DOWN FOR 15 SECONDS?YES PLEASE!

A stacked AM can do well, especially with empower.

Nobody talks about the poor ? I mean, if he gets his in a short amount of time he can push towers and get into the enemy base before PL gets farmed. Always consider pairing him with , as they have good synergy and can win the mid game by themselves with proper warding.

If Phantom Lancer doesn't farm on his own the whole game, can also counter him surprisingly well, especially if cancer already has all his illusions up.
