It isn't salt about not winning, it's salt that all of the winners were people who have never done anything on the forum before, and we will most likely never see again. It's like giving out food to your neighbours, and then some guys from across the country hear about it and come to take the food.

And yes, I do realise the contest was not designed for only active forum users, but not a single person I recognise from anywhere has gotten one of the prizes.

The same thing happened a while ago, and I don't think anyone who we saw enter that contest stuck around. For an example, a few comments ago I quoted a perfect representation of what I mean. If you personally stick around, that's great and i'm pleased to meet you, but about 49/50 will forget immediately that they even visited this site.

More contests that are going to be based on "regularity" and activity will come soon.

For now, I think we all should celebrate and enjoy The International, it's just a contest, I don't understand how people can react like this; I can't say that I don't feel disappointed.

Even though I lost, I have to take the benefits of both sides; to celebrate and at the same time of sighing the reality of the world. I would say the community lead just stated a very good idea here! And while I am still new to this community, I totally get everyone's point of view.
