Hey, looks like you're still using the old skilling order. Now you get ult at lvl 6/12/18 and you can put points into your talent selection to indicate what levels you take your talent at. :)

Hi, just wanted to make a commend about the item build. I used to follow this kind of thing religiously, Phase Boots, Desolator, Blink Dagger, Black King Bar. But I changed it up slightly and my win rate has sky rocketed.

I always get Power Treads now because of the much needed stats and much needed attack speed - with this build you won't be getting any attack speed or agility til your luxury items, so I think Power Treads are a must, and doesn't stop you from snowballing or chasing much at all, in fact I do better early game now with Treads. Also, I find it easier to get Blink Dagger sooner after getting treads rather than phase.

After Desolator I do not get BKB, I know, you probably should but I play a lot better without one and have a much better win rate when I don't get it. I prefer to get Manta Style. It does give you some protection against spells, and gives you a lot of stats and movement speed. After that I get Daedalus and then probably Butterfly to finish, selling Deso for Monkey King Bar, Divine Rapier or Assault Cuirass depending on the game.

I don't know if this is actually a better build, or if I've just got a lot better at Templar, but thought I'd just mention it. +1 anyway.

I also don't bother with Ring of Aquila - waste of time on TA IMO. Magic Wand and Bottle are plenty enough Mana regen.

Thanks for the great guide! I just started Dota and play with a very high level friend. Two questions: I have always used support (and PA when I needed to), so what heroes do you recommend practicing mid with, if I need to at all? I have went mid using TA and VS up to insane. Second, my friend and I are entertaining the idea of going level 1 Roshan (with him being Ursa of course). Shall I go with the race car build in that case? The starting items will have to be Stout Shield, 3 Healing Salves, and a TP scroll, as well as getting Refraction first.

Mid heroes tend to be the hardest in the game (imo). Queen of Pain and Zeus are both easy to start. Eventually try out Shadow Fiend and Templar Assassin. Then Tinker and Invoker once you've played the game longer.

You can pretty much learn any mid hero you want as long as you plan to dedicate about 20 games to them :)

On level 1 rosh, that is something that all 5 teammates have to be on the same page for! I've done it recently as TA and got a Blight Stone in my starting items. Stout Sheild is bad on TA since she's range. Your better off with a ring of protection imo. And the build won't change really you can go either one!

Gasp what is this, a new face with super good looking informative guides on Dotofire? Yes, please! Here's my +1, and please feel encouraged to giff us more guides. Your guide organization also reminded me of my own (CM though, I don't play TA), which made me shed tears of joy and recognition eheh way to go mate!

I am not a TA player, but I find your Build 1 has conflicting item path without proper explanations. For players who are familiar with Dota items then it's okay, but for newer players, it will be disastrous.

Desolator and Satanic doesn't stack. the UAM doesn't stack.

Abyssal Blade is a huge What-IF item, especially after the component change (I won't say it gets nerfed since it buffs some heroes). I would definitely buy Scythe of Vyse instead of Abyssal Blade 9 out of 10 times because of longer disable time and provides decent stats. The passive bash chance from Abyssal is only 10% for a ranged hero, and considering she is oriented to kill-in-few-hits hero (with those armor debuffs from Meld and Desolator), attack speed has never been a priority until late game, which most likely be delayed since you want Black King Bar if not stomping the game, thus even less reason to get Abyssal Blade.

I will edit the Satanic section to be understandable to newer players. You usually will sell Desolator for Eye of Skadi (best imo) but Satanic can sometimes work.

I admittedly yet to try the new Abyssal Blade on TA as I did say in the guide that the new one is more of a nerf to her playstyle. I use to like the item on her though. Meh, I guess I will move it to the situational section for build 1. TY for feedback.
