Dracul is a powerful strenght hero, with a strenght growth of +3.3!
He's almost unkillable and when in Vampire Bat Form he steals 95% of his damage in each attack! (Changed in V4)
He takes no Blade Mail damage, making him extremely dangerous to Razor and Bristleback.
Radiant Melee Strenght
Starting:
Health: 671
Mana: 122
BAT: 1.64
Damage: 66-71
Range: 128
Movement: 305
Gains:
STR: +3.3
AGI: +2.9
INT: +1.3
Spells:
Q: Vampiric Lifesteal
Dracula steals an amount of the health he removes from the enemy from each attack.
MC: 15
Lifesteal: 17,5/25/32,5/40%
Notes
Autoattack.
W: TOGGLE: Mirrors
Dracula takes less reflected damage, but reflects less damage. If damage is reflected on Dracula, he gets a bonus in movement speed and becomes invisible for 2 seconds. He also reflects some of all damage taken to enemies. Uses a little mana each second while active.
MC/s: 2/4/6/8
Passive: Reflection damage reduction (Dmg that Dracul reflects): 60/40/30/25%
Movement bonus: 10/30/40/45%
Active: Reflected towards Dracul dmg reduction: 40/60/80/100%
Reflection: 5/10/15/20% of all damage taken.
Notes
The damage that Dracul reflects is reduced. That means that at lvl 4 he actually only reflects 15% of all damage taken.
E: Bat Flight
Dracula turns into a bat after channeling for 0.4 seconds. After that he flies up to 800 units away dealing damage to all enemies that he flies through. During Vampire Bat Form, he deals extra damage, is invicible and doesn't have to channel it. During Bat Form he can fly up to 1200 units and pass over inpassable terrain.
Normal:
Mana Cost: 30/35/45/60% of max mana
Damage: 60 + 2%/110 + 6%/160 + 10%/210 + 14%
Range: 800
Cooldown: 26 sec
During Vampire Bat Form:
Health Cost: 20/25/30/35% of current health.
Damage: 60 + 3%/110 + 9%/160 + 15%/210 + 21%
Range: 1200
Cooldown: 4
Notes
R: Vampire Bat Form
Dracula turns into a bat, gaining more lifesteal, movement speed and can pass through inpassable terrain. The shapeshift is channeled.
Movement speed bonus: +60
Lifesteal bonus: +10/17,5/25%
CHANGELOG
V1: Wrote it.
V2: Formatting changes, added color. Buffed some spells. Added intro text
V3: Buffed Mirrors ALOT. (Added a built-in 25% reflection)
V4: Nerfed Vampiric Lifesteal, Mirrors and Vampire Bat Form.
V5: Mirrors is now a toggle able skill and uses mana when active!
V6: Removed Vampire Strike, nerfed Vampire Bat Form (It now takes 0.4 seconds to shapeshift.) Small change in the description. Intel gain decreased 1.4>1.3, and agi gain increased 2.8>2.9.
You know what? I also made a vampire-based hero a long time ago! Check it out!
On your hero, I love all the skills, they're really interesting! I think you can take each skill and build it into another hero that resolves around the skill.
Your first skill is an active lifesteal, it's like frost arrow or Glaives of Wisdom, I presume? But it's kinda weak in early level, while kinda strong in later level, why don't you scale it better into like 25/35/45/55? Probably you can make it more unique by adding like "each succesful attack will heal Dracula by 20 HP in addition to the lifesteal" this way, the early level is much stronger because of the flat heal.
The Bat Form is interesting, but I think there is not too much to say. I guess that leaves Mirror. Most interesting thing in this hero, hands down. Just the "Dracula takes no reflected damage" is really strong, so I think the damage return is too much. Probably you can just remove the penalty on damage he reflects, and scales the reflected damage taken into like 40/60/80/100%.
I didn't know that anyone made a vampire based hero before (I haven't looked at all threads.)
The lifesteal is supposed to make him unkillable in the lategame, making him extremely dangerous (He's supposed to be a tank). He kinda does have a weak earlygame but he really makes up for it with his lategame. But it is kinda OP... (While in bat form your lifesteal is 95%) Will be nerfed!
I added the damage return from Dracul because otherwise no-one would skill it unless the enemy team has heroes that usually build Blade Mail or other reflection items. I like your idea with the 40/60/80/100% thing.
But how do you counter him then?: I'll probably make so that Mirrors use mana while active (a very small amount). This means that Diffusal Blade and powerful stuns counter him well. (Don't forget that his lifesteal is an autoattack, so he needs mana to use it!). Crippling his damage output also counters him hard, because then he can't steal as much HP.
Interesting hero design here. Damage reflection is a pain in the *** and not taking it would be awesome. The lifesteal and high strength growth plus his ult truly makes him tanky and basically rage bait XD I just love these kinds of ideas. I would like to point some things out, if I can:
1.) His W prevents him from taking damage from his own skills, but Lotus Orb makes it reflect the SPELL, not the damage, so the description is a bit wrong.
2.) The BAT of 1.14 is a bit much. I mean jugg has 1.4 and that is already A LOT. The only one who can go further is Alchemist and he needs lvl. 3 Chemical Rage.
3.) Why does he have 5 skills? Shadow Fiend basically has 6 skills but that is because the razes are useless without eachother. But this guy has straight up 5 separate, individual skills without needing to get them by other means (such as with Rubick and Invoker) than leveling them. It just doesn't fit DOTA 2 standards.
Sorry if I sound like a b!tch, but those are my honest thoughts. The idea sounds great, but some parts seem out of place. Good job either way man :)
Woops. I think it's supposed to be 1.64 BAT. (The heroes I make usually has 1.56-1.69 BAT)
I will change the description, thanks for noticing it. Vampire Strike is just a useless spell (Not really, it deals 370 damage and stuns but...), and it doesn't even fit into his skillset anyways. It was actually about to be removed. Will do it now.
