Official DOTAFire Discord Server

I've just created an official DOTAFire server on Discord, a really cool communication app that we can use to meet, talk and play together.

The rules of our Discord channel are:

• your Discord account must be verified
• you can invite your friends in but you're responsible for their actions
• respect every member, be nice and friendly
• if a voice channel is occupied by a party, do not join without their permissions

We are looking into cool features to add for us, hopefully in time we'll have one great and fun Discord channel! Also, if you do stream often, we can feature your Stream over in our Discord Stream channel where people will get notified whenever you go LIVE!

Editors, Veterans and Moderators have special ranks; we're gonna implement more stuff in time.

How is discord compared to skype? or steam chat for that matter? this is my first tiem hearing about this app, so i'm rather curious.

The server name is DOTAFire.

You can use it in-browser or just download it, there are multiple chat channels and voice channels that you can join at any time. There are also ranks just like on the forum and I've added a fun bot that tracks our messages and levels us up based on our activity in the Discord channels.

It's easier to use than Skype because people can enter voice channels by themselves without getting invitations and such; something like Teamspeak but fancier and easier to use.

It's simply like Teamspeak, you have voice channels that you can join with your friends and play and also chat channels where you can talk to everyone who's in, join and say hi!
