Thankfully, with the 6.86 nerf, Winter Wyvern is not a catch hero anymore, and is actually countered really hard by rat dota.
Her ulti was watered down from Primal Roar on single targets to pretty much Astral Imprisonment...if she commits a 2 minute cooldown ult for a long range euls that is. By the way you can Blink Dagger out of Wyvern ult now since it blocks all damage from enemies, I think this deserves a mention.
So right now Wyvern is a teamfighter that has nothing against single targets, and has "please rat me" written all over. Kind of the same as Dazzle, Omniknight or other defensive supports. Her heal is still stupid, but it's just one skill, so at least she's manageable now. Sure it's kind of silly that her ult got nerfed and not her E, but the important thing is that she *was* nerfed. Thank God Icefrog.
It's like the Frog is saying if you hate defensive supports, just be a r[A]t. Will do ;)
I still think a blink necrophos will go in eblade your face dagon+ulti to throw you back at the benches.
Shame they don't do that.
One thing is hounding at my mind.Rat is strong this patch, so why is there no anti-rat/waveclearer getting limelight?
SF and Lina they all went to the back bench. Who is available to deal with rats/mass minions?
Beastmaster and friends OP this patch. Get necro win game then.
Xyrus i dont know if you realised all these errors i listed but i doubt it. So please take this as advice if you actually want to get 4k. Focus on improving.
And it seems you arent comfortable playing ranked, you should just play.
It's not a case of being uncomfortable playing Ranked, I know I can easily get a 60+% winrate at my current MMR. I'm just using Unranked as a Sandbox to play around, get a feel for the Heroes I'm going to play, try out new Item Builds (I've yet to try the new Slahser's way PA, and I'll need to try it in Unranked before I can decide whether it will work in 2k Ranked or not).
And if you arent comfortable with consistently playing well and winning games because of it then drop this time consuming stuff about hero picks and just pick heroes you are good with and focus on improving.
There's also this ^
Back in ages long past, I used Mirana to raise my Solo MMR. I could shoot Sacred Arrows into the fog, with absolute confidence of who I would hit, where they would be standing and that I had 5 seconds to Kill them and either get out or go for more.
I haven't played much Mirana lately and thus, can no longer do such Arrows. I played fairly infrequently over December, so I'm shaking off a lot of rust and that means, I also need to rebuild my Hero Pool as there aren't any Heroes I'm particularly good with at the moment.
Basically you shouldnt assume you are better then your team and actually pay attention and contribute.
Unfortunately, this is terrible advice...
ALWAYS assume you are the best. Do not play Ranked like a complete pansy. Go in with a WINNING attitude!
If I am not the best player in the game, I do not have a significant chance of winning unless someone else on my team is significantly better than everyone else in the game. If I do not believe in myself, do I really believe I can win this game?
If I take advice from my teammates and change my Item Build for example, that's basically admitting that I do not have a clkue what Items to build. If I don't know what I'm doing, why am I playing Ranked in the 1st place?!
If I am the best player in the game, odds are, I'm going to win! It does not matter who you are playing with or against, always play assuming you are the best player. Never 2nd guess yourself, never surrender, never stop believing in yourself!
I'll get back to you on the Jugg game once I've watched the replay myself, seems like there was some good feedback in there.
Officially on the road back to 4k. Less than 500 to go.
Spammed dazzle like crazy supporting people till i got bored of it due to ******ed carry players. (Only lost in party MMR though, never in solo with dazzle spam).
The last spectre game i stomped so hard in the first 15 min, that they ddos'ed me for the next 45 min, could barely move, somehow still managed to win.

this is true but i assume more in the way of respecting your opponents and recognizing the state of the game.
confidence is good ofcourse but this game you seemed to ignore both teams to carry later which didnt work out for several reasons.

I feel ya mustache -bro.
Last ranked game I played was a WR mid.i was not the highest MMR, it was a bloodseeker that actually went radiance in safelane. Always know that your true MMR is not the same as the one you calibrated at or what you are , especially if it has been a long time since you last played ranked.
For all the dotoforeans, given that we share game mechanics, I think if we execute well, we all are above 4k.
Well regarding the attitude....I actually try to find players in my team that are not ******ed/good or just less ******ed then the others. Then I stick with them and make them happy and we win the game (yup I am the 5th position support guy so just don't mind me).
I usually guess my team is worse than the enemy team but that we can win late game if I can drag the game long enough (that happens quite often).
But moustachious...why is there no Terrorbladde in your list? He can push execptionally well and you don't have to micro a lot and the ult ****s with anything below 3k.
Alright, gonna be using these tips as well as everything i can find to get me back to dota, i'm playing terribly on BOT games now that i've gotten used to LoL...

It's better to stick to your original game plan and wait until after the game to analyse your weaknesses and misplays. If you try to change during a game, you're inevitably going to tilt while doing so. I'd rather play an ineffective strategy well than an effective strategy poorly. To each their own though.

I've played games like this before, and yes, sometimes there is someone on your team who can be trusted to play well. However, this does not apply to every game and there is no reliable way of determining if such a player is among your Teammates at the start of a game. You don't find out until about 40-50 minutes into the game if they're reliable or not.

Can he 1 vs 3 against your "Support" and a Dual Lane?
Build:
2 Tango+Stout (Quelling blade at secret Shop)
(an incredible number of Tangos claritys can follow because u burn through regen.)
Phase, urn, Poor Mans
Then Drums
Manta Diffu
Game should be over by then...
And the hero teaches u what my little weed-and-cheese-country friend pointed out.
When to be in fights, when not to be in fights, and to keep looking at the minimap. So the hero does both let you become a better player and giving u mmr. Some Badmann Spectre Videos on youtube will also help you to get better with the hero, and as a result u will know the place of the minimap ;)
Only think i find realy annyoing is fight against slark. <- maybe a personal Problem.
