I've been playing Enchantress a lot lately and I think she's definitelly a semi-carry now, and not a support, because she can actually go Aghs-BKB-Orchid/Vyze/Skadi (not necessarily in this order) and she's a force to be reckoned with. You can't easily be killed even from level 3 onwards if you're not terribly behind, and you dish considerable amounts of damage with just your ultimate, that doesn't lose validity precisely for what you all mentioned - it's a piercing BKB damage.
This said, I don't think she's a good hard carry - the only game so far that I was the #1 and had a very nice score was personal luck and we ended up losing the game anyways. She can't cope against any other hard carry that you can think of - she can solo kill some, that's true, but you don't have to worry with only one but with a whole team, and you will always be a bit less powerfull than your opponent six slocked AM even if you're six slotted yourself - and yeah she's not a natural farmer at all and the squishiness is almost always a problem specially in the mid game. Basically, everything that Hamstertamer said too.
The thing with these kind of opinions that we post in threads is that when we're talking about facts and not just builds and our opinion on them we should really check something before posting them - at least I do that with dota facts like interactions before stating them here and basing my opinion on them. Because in this case it's not a little detail from the last patch, but something a bit bigger about the hero, and we don't want to lead the new members into costy mistakes. So it doesn't hurt to lose a bit more time everytime we decide to post something on these lines, I feel - we do critize someone if they post a guide with these kind of mistakes, so we can all be a bit more careful with what we post in threads too probably.
I have to agree that she can't be HC for some of the reasons you have shown for me.
Maybe, just maybe, Tornado farm can put you in pairity with some others flash-farmings. If this goes through, she will explode mid-game. Her lack of AS can be solve with Shards, and the HP pool with Satanic. In pubs I can imagine the farming problem solved with Mjolnir and BAM, can't touch her anymore.
If she doesnt get exposed, 700+ range pure damage can be serious trouble in TF's.

Mate, I wasnt critizing you at all - just giving my opinion on the topic Tim and Sando raised. You did an interesting thread on a hero role. Keep at it.
Right now 48%, although I did have it two weeks ago at 50% I think.
I don't play her standard jungle, and the only times I did were in 2014 - and as you will see, you should just ignore all the games that I played with her before 2015 because I sucked hard xD
I have been feeling that you can indeed reliably win with her - and I'm not one to say that all of my losses are due to other people's mistakes, on the contrary, but there's no better way to know that then to check the stats on the games themselves. She's really powerfull given the right opponents, and the last month I didn't lose my lane a single time I think (that is, I never died and I usually manage to kill someone and mess a bit with the farming carry before transitioning to ganks in the whole map).
And she's actually surprisingly very tanky - that last game you see there at some point I was ganked by 5 man and they took like 7 seconds to kill me and had to use everything they had including a one man Black Hole ahah
It's a bit unreliable as a hard carry. Do you really want a Position 1 that gets nullified by enemies getting close to her? it's almost like drow ranger. Squishy, gets ****ed up if they come close to you. Both are good at pushing tower...
yet i think last patch's mask of madness was good on her even if impetus was a orb. MoM was just insane last patch

Quite like that, but I suppose that the meta is pushing for more tankish carry other than glass-cannon heroes. So, untouchable became more valuable than before. If you can manage a draft, or simple pub with Ogre magi with her, think of the possibilities. You wont need MoM anymore (less squishy?), and you retain the AS because bloodlust. On top of that, you will have a bodyguard on laning phase.
The fact that she dies to laguna blade is manageable with glimmer cape, along with position in TF's
Just an idea, I don't think is going to work, but, who knows...

Yes what I see from your dotabuff kind of fits what I'm thinking of the hero right now : great kill potential, can easily get 20+ kills with the right start, but *horrendous* CS that would shame even a chaos knight player.
The hero can kill but not farm. But if you *do* get those kills you can get 450-500 GPM just off kill/assist gold and go for a carry build, and be relevant throughout the game.
So still an all-in risky pick that relies on getting your early game right. Because otherwise you have no items so no impact. Well Ench was always considered kind of a hit-or-miss pick in competitive anyways, so it fits.
But why not. Yeah I think you can reliably win games with that hero if you play it well. After all, heroes with good early kill potential and late game scaling are good in pubs, right ;)
BTW now that Moon Shard exists (and even got its price reduced), there isn't much reason to go mask of nerfness on her anymore. Shard + forcestaff does the job just fine.
