Okay so I've been watching ChiLongQua, you know, the best F**king Dota 2 player the world's ever f**king seen and I came across this video where he exposes someone called "glass" for having a bought a boosted mmr.

This "Glass" person was previously on r/dota2 trying to drum up support for a "dota 2" academy, when he was still masquerading as a 5.3k mmr and charging ridiculous rates for "coaching." (on the internet, no one knows you're a 1k scrub)

It's events like these that have really shown me that people will ACTUALLY SPEND CASH TO RAISE A NUMBER IN A VIDEO GAME.

So, I figured I'd get your guys' opinions on this account boosting business. Is it worth it? Won't you just continuously feed until you end up where you started? Why not spend that money on arcanas or cool looking item sets? Are people truly that obsessed over that number? I mean, a higher mmr would be a nice thing to have, but I don't think I'd feel good about it if I didn't earn it.

Read it in CLQ voice, ty.

Buying and account boost is really worth it if you have spare money and want to get better. You will get ****ted on continuously, you ma feed, your team will want to report you, but if you are not a braindead ****** with no ability to make conclusions out of your games, you will learn rapidly.

Getting dumpstrerd by a player who is better than you by a good margin is one of the best things that can happen to you in Dota, not even kidding right now.

So, basically, I gotta get continually dumpstered in our inhouses and 5-stacks to improve, no?

difference is personality.

i LOVE it when i get dumpstered yet i can see where i went wrong or i can ask and get answers to what happened and why.

some people just see the loss and hate losing.

improvement is not just in what you do but also in your mentality.

I WILL DESTROY YOU ALL.... WITH FLUFFY BUNNIES

Only if you can turn them into something constructive. Don't just accept why you lost, wonder why you lost, if there is mroe you could personally be doing, what were your opponents doing that you didn't?

Losing is the best way to make ourselves improve if you actually take the proper steps to learn from it. If you just constantly get dumpstered without thinking about it, it doesn't help that much.

Since you just can't have enough Chaos Breaker.
