I think i need a coach...

I have started on my all hero challenge. Completed abbadon, my first one, in that game i posted in the countering night stalker thread. Amd guess what hero is next? Shadow demon. I for the love of god have never tried that hero. Ever. And i have to play him in a solo pub. I need a mentor or at least some tips man.

Read AngeloBangelo's guide on Shadow Demon, it's pretty solid.

He's a ganking-oriented support with a ton of single-target burst damage (think e.g Lina), and the ability to counter-initiate.

- To burst down heroes, his combo is always the same : Disruption -> soul catcher -> Demonic Purge. And spam ebola...um I mean Shadow Poison on cooldown to your heart's content. This allows you to solo kill essentially any hero without an escape skill...especially agility carries since you make illusions of them :)

- When an ally gets focused first in a teamfight, use Disruption on him to save his ***. You have a Eul's Scepter of Divinity that can be cast on allies, it's pretty good.

That's SD in a nutshell. Don't forget that every one of SD's skills still hit and damage targets in Disruption.

Arcane Boots, Force Staff, Blink Dagger and Aghanim's Scepter are the items you'll buy the most on him.

the best idea is to get a friend who can play mirana and just run around the map with a lot of smokes killing stuff.
dont worry too much about protecting the safelaner because the threat of a disruption+arrow should be enough to zone them.
it doesnt always work out but at worst it should take 3 games to have a good early game.

I can be that friend who plays Mirana, although I'm still not good with her :)

Mirana isn't the only option.

SD + Kunkka + Invoker is a awesome combo.

Basically, you max Catcher on SD, Torrent on Kunkka and go QE on Invoker.

Disruption >> Soul Catcher >> Torrent >> Sun Strike (with amplified damage) = Dead hero.
