Naga pushed hella hard, but with Techies counter pushing with mines it can be extremely hard to break base with their lineup. Even with a gem. Haven't bought so many gems in a game before.
So what is your longest game and why did it go that long? Leave a link or an explanation of the game below.
Our draft was built around late game heroes, so I actually got shut down really hard in the early game by their superior gank squad. Invoker went Necrobook as well and they took a ton of early towers, probably fearing our LD, Dusa, Anti-Mage late game. However, breaking high ground took them a while because our Dusa managed to keep us in the game with early activeness. But about 45 minutes in, the enemies managed to get megacreeps.
The reason the game dragged so long was because Medusa was able to effortlessly defend megas, even if the enemies tried to dive us, and by the time they got megacreeps, there was no way they could beat us in a teamfight. The problem arose actually with our Anti-Mage. He was a suicidal moron who kept overdiving, ganking, and farming, when it became clear the game could be ended if 1-2 people stayed back to defend and him and Medusa could have easily taken the throne from about minute ~55. I had to convince the Medusa to not throw the game to spite the Anti-Mage. Thankfully, by the end, we won, because the enemies got so bored with being unable to finish the game that the enemy Pudge actually abandoned.
But yes, that long game was due to stupidity on the part of one of my carries, and not the presence of a "drag out of the game hero" like Dusa (would normally be), Naga, Techies, or Tinker.
Game took so long because either we loose teamfights or we win them but cant push enough. Then enemy team started to siege us,we deff then push, but they counter us again. It was ping-pong game, desperate tower defence.
Your new diet for heroes; You will need 4 wards (cuz wards taste better), 1 set of tangoes, 1 mango, 1 cheese.
With this you can make a nice Tango Mango Cheese platter. You can wash this all down with a nice bottle of water, Can be flavoured with red, green, yellow, blue, purple AND GOLD!
Caution: Taking roshan 3 times is required.
playing 4v5, playing invoker and spectre together, there is a point in time where a cocky as **** nature's prophet says in all chat , "noob spectre cannot get last hits"
an immediate reply comes, "you farm creeps, i farm heroes".Instant #REKT storm in the chat lol.
recent longest games : http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/1366309962
Time : 1 hr 8 mins
classic morphling domination, but a super ******ed offlane and a team that is barely functional ;_;.
Holy ****ing **** please ****ing nerf ****ing Storm Spirit. He single-handedly stalled the game for at least 30 minutes. Fortunately, it got to the point where they just could not kill me without wiping themselves to do it, and so my Spectre racks up another win!
And a discovery there is that apparently Spectral Path chases an ulting Storm. That snagged us a few kills on him :D

Had pretty good game with Sniper but my team was feeding so damn hard.Especialy Slardar. He bought phases, mom and ignored our questions ,,Slardar where is your dager??,, And again Doom stomped us ._. Somehow lately if i loose in a game when having good farm is because of Doom Allways him. He's my Doom :(
This thing was ****ing CRAZY. Started off pretty even, y'know. Then, since Storm is ****ing broken, we started losing. Pickoffs happened. Void's early farm dropped off hard and it's very difficult to rat into a Spirit Breaker and Storm Spirit. Eventually, we started turtling.
I scored the first rax after picking off Storm Spirit in the midlane, but Lifestealer and the others took out our top rax. The game went back and forth until 60 minutes, when they managed to take all but our melee bottom rax. At this point I'd been 6-slotted with buyback for a good 10 minutes, so I bought a refresher in case I had to buyback without Metamorphosis (turns out that may have won us the game... using it, I managed to get their bottom barracks just before they got megas!). AA was so intent on Brood duty that he actually got an abandon for inactivity. What. The. ****.
So, considering I had nearly 20k dosh in the bank, I started buying every shareable consumable in history and we carpeted the base in sentries. Finally, we killed all of them but Storm Spirit, and Void and I yolo mid rushed as the other three defended. When Radiant buybacks came out, it turned into a base race which we narrowly won despite getting pile-dived by a Storm, Spirit Breaker and Lifestealer.
Not to brag, but if I had been any Hero other than Terrorblade, we'd have lost. The mix of wave-clearance, anti-creep, DPS and push was all that saved us once they started pile-diving at our Ancient, hoping to end the game. I kept at least one lane constantly pushed out to lessen the burden on the defenders, and the illusion rat was crazy. I made sure to always have buyback (even before I ended up with nothing to spend 15k on, since Rapier Terrorblade is pretty bad). While buyback was on cooldown, I just defended. I've never felt so much like a hard carry as in that game. That said, team did pretty damn well... without AA's Brood counterpush, we'd have lost, and Void got some amazing pickoffs. Clutch Hexes and Ruptures helped us keep defending.
Games like that are why we play Dota. It wasn't so much a comeback as a pitched battle that at any point could've gone either way... but lategame Terrorblade and Void is just too stronk.
I had 1176 last hits. 1176. U wot m8.
