Let's discuss Puck.

I have one big question. Why Puck isn't as popular as before? In my opinion is a great mid hero, and if you master her, she is really scary. Puck often needs a good team composition and good players to be effectively but, I know that she can win games solo. If picked well, with blink and dagon she wins games easily. What do you think about Puck in this meta? Why she isn't played as much as before?

one thing : puck don't go late-game buddy

she picks up Scythe of Vyse and it helps, but that's about it.

Actually puck does go late game since the aghs upgrade.
Aghs, refresher and you got yourself a 9 sec bkb piercing stun, well sort of.

puck has to be alive to use her ultimate again you know.

Agreed, aghanim's makes her late-game a bit more stable, but it just doesn't cut it.Late-game needs more stable disables as puck can no longer burst 1-2 heroes down by restricting their travel radius.

I would rather pick Treant Protector you feel me? lower cooldown too. (also the 875 damage is ****ing ridiculous)

Since he has Aghs he goes perfectly well into late game. Just stop going Dagon 5 and go Aghs/sheep/refresher instead. Going Dagon 1 is fine but whenever I see a Puck upgrade his dagon I'm always like WTF, dagon 5 is just a huge waste of money and there are far better ways to spend 5K gold.

His Aghs essentially means that nobody can kite your carry anymore. So your Sven or Medusa will just wreck anything that's standing in the coil and they can't do anything about it.

He's one of the best wombo combo heroes in the game with guys like Dark Seer or Warlock, and that stuff can be stupidly powerful in late game as well.

I guess Storm Spirit is currently the choice for the "evasive mid hero" role...but Puck is legit there's no doubt about that.

And Puck is not a girl, he's a child :)

I agree hamster, but all i am saying is that i would rather have a Treant Protector who farms up a blink and a refresher while giving mid-lane to someone stupidly broken like Storm Spirit.


Edit: also, treant's ultimate is much, much better with a lower cooldown and inability to attack or move (it's fricking amazing).

Except Treant is a bit easier to counter. You can manta or BKB out of tree ulti, you can cut trees against his Aghs, etc. Puck is really 100% reliable lockdown in a certain area and prevents your carry from getting kited, so sure it's maybe not the late game presence of a Magnus but it's not that far honestly. I mean seriously when you play a hero like Tiny it's a huge asset :)

And if indeed you need to leave mid lane to broken heroes like Storm or Troll (understandable) you can still offlane your Puck. So legit hero.

Yes but you can still BKB to dispel it. Like Silencer ulti.
