Manta Style- This is where my guide is unique.Hell, it's as common as hell Manta Style is absolutely necessary on him. Manta gives Chaos Knight everything that he needs, a way to get rid of an aoe silence, a way to create illusions other than his ult, more mana, and more tank. This is farm more important than an early Armlet of Mordigian.
Keep Calm and Feed,
I know people like pictures, I agree they are nice I just don't enjoy putting them down I prefer text, maybe at some point I will do that.
First I agree it is reasonable to max Reality Rift first, When I gank I tend to try to gank with the team, having additional stun time for people with scary ultis and a guaranteed two second stun I often find to be more helpful than the reduced cool-down. But its reasonable to max Reality Rift as well. I'll add that when I get the chance.
Its true that you can have the same mana and stats from magic wand and Null Talisman, I however get magic want as well as drums, the reason I get the drums is it effectively gives you a Sange and Yasha as well as Nulls Talisman in a neat little package during the early part of the game when you need space for utility items like TP Scrolls, and regen items.
I prefer to go with Ultimate Orb first because it gives him more of the stats that he needs, mana and strength instead of the Yasha. You are already one of the fastest people in the game at that point you don't need an extra bit of movement speed.
Refresher, I did say this was super late game. First you don't use it consecutively as you cannot have two instances of your ulti at the same time. Additionally since I suggest always getting Manta Style you will actually have probably 1040 mana as your max and in between the activation of two ultis you will have plenty of time to regen mana, have team mates give you mana with mana boots, etc. The main thing the refresher does late game is make sure you are not caught out with your ulti on cooldown. Make no mistake, this is a super luxury item and if you have not won by then something is wrong.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. Most guides that I have seen of Chaos Knight add mantas as an optional core. I think that it is absolutely necessary on him as it functions as a pseudo bkb, pseudo ult, and gives him the stats that he needs at that point of the game more so than Armlet. Most guides that I see reverse the positions on these two.
Next: Your theory crafting,i agree with it.
BUT , who has the time to read all that wall of text when you even havent coded your abilities. You havent linked anything to the database and you pose no questions on current gameplay or solidify that your way is the correct way???????
Your skill build is out dated. Do you know what is the strength of CK? it is CUDGEL! that bat he has.
Your damage never comes from stun, because it is inversely related to the stun duration. Never take it for damage.
A standard two seconds stun is enough to kill so 2 points in his Chaos Bolt is enough. YOU HAVE TO MAX Reality Rift ASAP. 120 Damage that can crit is no small deal.
Further, drums is an outdated item on him because he is so good at lvl6 and people just dont have the mana to do his full combo that they get drums for isnt it?
Get a magic Wand and a Null Talisman. Voila, same stats as drums.
You are building yasha for manta so you wont have the problems like oh but the ms is needed. 10% is all you need, and Yasha does that.
For the refresher arguement: Your mana at level 25 is 832.
Casting two ulltimates will be 275*2+350 =900.
So you will need 6 int extra for only the double ulti. Well refresher gives youthat much but what about his combo?.
For that you need15 more mana. This boils down to having 100% mana when you started fighting and
Having an eye of skadi with you.
Really want to wait for refresher and lengthen the game when you have the mojo to end it in mid game?
Kody, why did you lol so hard? I honestly think that Mantas is a better pick up than Armlet at that point of the game. Would you mind explaining your reasoning?
this guide is not different from other guides.Every guide says either first manta or armlet.
