This is not an item build guide. Recommended items that you can find in-game for Venomancer are very good. Simply decide if you want escape mechanism or enhance your ultimate first and buy appropriately (no brainer there).
This build shows how to skill-build this poison factory in the pub environment particularly in a team not concentrating on early push strategy (that is never a case from my experience in pubs).
Always leave your Venomous Gale at level one to save your mana. It's purpose is only for slowing down enemies for a whooping 15 second and guarantee a kill when the time is right.
The reason you max-out Poison sting first is because it is a perfect harass mechanism. You just need to throw a shot at an enemy from time to time and let the poison do its thing while avoiding any possible hit trading with them.
Keep your Plague Wards at low level before you are done with your passive simply because they are pushing and you normally want your lane near your tower to make last hitting safer. Instead use them as observer wards making sure you always have one up in places of gank routes. Keeping them at low level for a start makes it easier on your mana pull conserving it for a Gale when you need it.
Level your Poison Nova at standard levels of 6, 11 and 16. Make sure you use it when it is possible to him multiple enemies when possible. Good combo with it is to Gale, come into its radius, pop you nova and follow up with spitting your passive-enhanced attacks in the face of hopelessly fleeing enemies.
