Drow's ultimate gives her very strong midgame DPS. There are two main ways to play Drow: the orb-walking, ganker style and the pure DPS style.
In the DPS build, drow sacrifices Frost Arrows for HotD's lifesteal (she hits hard and lifesteals hard this way), in the ganker build something like Lothars is more fitting.
Orbwalking is a very important skill to master - manually cast your arrow and immediately issue a move command to cancel the animation and close in to your target. Manualy casted arrows also don't cause enemy creeps to aggro you.
In clashes, be aware of your squishiness - don't charge right in the middle and remember to use your silence at oportune times.
Take advantage of your 0 cd orb and very long range to harass in lane, but do not harass to the exclusion of last-hitting.
