Introduction

--GUIDE IN CONSTRUCTION--

Have you ever feel like your team never wins a teamfight?
Have you ever feel that you really needed some movespeed just to finish that sunavibch that escaped with 0.0001 hp?
HAVE YOU EVER FEEL THE NEED TO SEE WHERE THE HELL IS THAT RIKI?
If the answer to all these questions is yes don't worry. Uncle Kouta is here to teach you a valuable lesson: "PICK THE ******** SLARDAR!!!"
Relax, he's not so hard to use, you just gotta BLINK ULT STUN RUN BLINK RUN STUN ULT DANCE STUN DANCE STUN DANCE STUN DANCE...and calculate 10234/25660*4650 :)
Nah i'm kidding, it's way more simple than that:3

Pros / Cons

Pros:

  • Slardar's ult can change the entire course of a single gank/game
  • His 1st skill is very good to escape/chase
  • Good area stun
  • Nice attack animation

Cons:
  • You can't pick more than 1 slardar
  • Low mana :<
  • His 1st skill can help him but also can make him exposed to lethal damage

Skills

  • sprint Sprint:
Slardar moves significantly faster, but takes 15% bonus damage.
    Duration: 20
    Movement Speed Increase: 20% / 27% / 33% / 40%
Mana Cost: 50 Cooldown Time: 40
Thoughts: Well sir, this skill makes you a running machine, srsly, this skill allows you to run after your enemys, you can use it to finish a low hp enemy, or even initiate (stunning so your team can reach the enemy) a enemy who noticed the incoming gank. On the other hand you can run from your enemys even when you're surrounded. Use this skill wisely because the 15% bonus damage can be the cause of your death.

  • Slithereen Crush
Slams the ground, stunning and damaging nearby enemy land units.
    Area: 350
    Stun Duration: 1 / 1.5 / 2 / 2.5
    Damage: 50 / 100 / 150 / 200
    Mana Cost: 80 / 95 / 105 / 115 Cooldown Time: 8
Thoughts: This skill is simply beautiful. I mean, you can easily stun everybody in a single blow, and believe me, this stun makes the whole difference. Use it to do whatever you want, initiate, finish (don't do that if there's a carry who needs the kill), stun the enemy team so you and your team can run from the death.

  • bash Bash
Increases the chance that an attack will do bonus damage and stun an enemy.
Stun Duration: 1 (2 on units)
    Damage Bonus: 40 / 50 / 60 / 70
    Chance: 10% / 15% / 20% / 25%
Thoughts: I like this skill, it's pretty like void's 3rd skill. I don't feel the urge to use it in the early game, because, you will not attack that much so you can, you know, stun again and again your enemy. IMO you have to focus in your first and second skill, so you can be useful for your team.

  • Amplify Damage Amplify Damage
Reduces enemy armor to amplify physical damage. Also reveals invisible enemies.
    Range: 700
    Duration: 25
    Armor Reduction: 8 / 12 / 16
Mana Cost: 25 Cooldown Time: 10
Thoughts: NOW THAT'S AN ULTIMATE. This skill have some many purposes, and the cooldown it's ridiculous. You can use it to make an invisible enemy not so invisible. You can use it to simply predict your enemy movements. You can even make them afraid so they play more deffensive. Or you can just, you know, REDUCE SOMEONE'S ARMOR TO A NEGATIVE VALUE THEN BOOM, KILL HIM IN 2 OR 3 ATTACKS. AWWWW YEAAAAAAHHHHHH.

Items

--WORK IN PROGRESS--
I'm still working this part!

Starting Items
When the game starts you need at least + , those items guarantee that you are not leaving your lane because of some harass. The allow you to play more offensive. The quelling blade is the only item that depends on how are you going to manage your lane. If you plan on babysitting someone i don't recommend quelling because the lh's are must be left to your lane partner, in this case, pick one more gauntlet + another iron branch/tango. If you plan to picking at least some lh's the quelling blade will be very useful (even more useful if the enemy team have a Nature's Prophet).

Building your Core
You can start buying boots or Belt of Giant Strenght, i rather buy boots if i'm not having so much trouble with my HP. After buying those two items you can finish your Power Treads (again, if you're not having trouble with your HP) or you can buy at least one of your Bracers.
When you complete the Power Treads and the two Bracers you can start your BKB. I like starting with Hammer, but if you feel the urge of more HP start with Ogre Axe.

Luxury Items
Assault Cuirass - I like making this item because of the armor bonus + attack speed (with your 3rd skill you are going to stun wonderfulls). I like starting with Hyperstone so i can enjoy the amazing Attack Speed + 3rd skill combo.

Sange & Yasha - As i already said, the attack speed bonus makes your 3rd skill very powerfull. Also, the movement speed bonus makes your sprint even faster. I like to make S&Y when i'm semi-carrying. When i'm playing more supportive i prefer making more tankish items.

Satanic - The lifesteal + the bonus Str that this item provides it's very useful. If you keep attacking some enemy with your ult + satanic activated you can heal a great amount of life, srsly. Satanic is good especially if you're semi-carrying.

Desolator - Imagine that your ult already removes a great amount of defense, wich implies in much more damage to your enemy. Now imagine that you can remove even more armor...yes, the damage is tremendous. I like calling desolator as "Ult lv4" to Slardar. This orb effect is great if you're semi-carrying and it's extremely useful even if you're playing more support.

- The bonus HP + HP regen + Str it's really good if you plan on, you know, "staying alive". This item + BKB can make you a pain in the *** to the enemy team, you can tank tons of damage and recover really fast. I like picking this item when i'm playing more tankish/support, especially when i'm the one who initiates the gank.

Orb Effects: Desolator x Satanic
Well, if you don't plan on semi-carrying just pick desolator, the debuff it's way more helpful to your team.
Now if you are playing the semi-carry way, you must ask yourself:
"Am I surviving the fights?"
If the answer is yes, then make desolator, you're going to kill many enemys with 4 or 5 blows, yes, it's true.
If the answer is no, then make Satanic, start with HotD and you are going to see the results when you survive a fight :)
