Pudge, The Mid Master

Intro

Hey guys,
For those of you unfamiliar with pudge, hes one of the best mid lane hero's in my opinion.
But of course, it all depends on whether or not u can land a successful hook in a smart situation. He is somewhat tough to start off with for the first time, since his hook is a skill shot that can also grab creeps, but once u get the hang of it, he is an incredibly fun hero to play.

Pros/Cons

Pro:
1)Hook, nuff said
2)AoE rot slow
3)Disabling Ulti
4)Ability to deny yourself
5)Great ganker

Cons:
1)Mana problems early game
2)Hook grabs anything in its path, so teammates/creeps may intrude

Mid-Lane

Playing the mid with pudge is fairly simple. If you're up against a melee, dont let him get close to the creeps, scare him with an auto attack and maybe a second of rot. If up against a ranged, play the passive game, run up for a last (make sure to get it) then back off. A ranged will love to harass a pudge anytime he gets near so keep some space. Wait for the right moment, and if a hook is available, do it, activate rot immediately, and chase them down with the rot slow and an auto attack every now an then. A good strat that seems to work very well vs melee mids, is to walk up to them with rot, wait for them to leave the creep pack, then as they get some space, hook them back to finish them off.

Ganking

One of the most fun parts of being pudge is your great ganking ability. Look for a side lane thats being pushed to your tower and run over there, stay in the forest out of their line of site, stay in the fog of war. Patience is key here. Wait for them to be out of the creep wave, preferably when they stop moving (unless you can time your hooks well like me (; ) Hook, dismember (if you have it. ganks may happen before lvl 6, although at lvl 6 its more ideal) and make sure to have rot activated after the hook.

Team Fights

You are the initiator. You and your hook are best friends, remember that. Always try to hook the carry on their team. Grab him, and immediately disable him with your ult/rot. The rest of your team should finish off the remaining health he has before dismember ends. Always always always always dismember their most damaging player, he needs to be taken down fast
