How long has it been since he lost his name? The torn ruin of his mind no longer knows.
Dimly he recalls armor and banners and grim-faced kin riding at his side. He remembers a battle: pain and fear as pale hands ripped him from his saddle. He remembers terror as they threw him into the yawning pit of the Dead God alongside his brothers, to hear the Dirge and be consumed into nothingness. In the darkness below, time left them. Thought left them. Sanity left them. Hunger, however, did not. They turned on each other with split fingernails and shattered teeth. Then it came: distant at first, a fragile note at the edge of perception, joined by another, then another, inescapable and unending. The chorus grew into a living wall of sound pulsing in his mind until no other thought survived. With the Dirge consuming him, he opened his arms to the Dead God and welcomed his obliteration. Yet destruction was not what he'd been chosen for. The Dead God demanded war. In the belly of the great nothing, he was granted a new purpose: to spread the Dirge across the land, to rally the sleepless dead against the living. He was to become the Undying, the herald of the Dead God, to rise and fall and rise again whenever his body failed him. To trudge on through death unending, that the Dirge might never end.

CONS
- Has quite small hp as an STR hero early on.
- Mana issues :(
- No escape abilities
- Needs to be crowded to use his skill to its peak
- Item Dependent on Lategame
NOTE: i play undying as a tank/support/nuker hero so this is my point of view
Most of the time, i see players play undying maxingfirsthand instead ofwhich is (for me) stupid as **** because lvling that up will only increase your Manacost, damage and lowers the cooldown by 2 each, which is useless since's cooldown is already 10 at level one with 40s debuff on the stolen STR, while increasing hiswill greatly increase its damage output as well as the heal with lesser cooldown (ofc u get higher manacost) and this allows you to sync better with your!
And the reason i dont pickstraight away at lvl6 is because you dont really need it since it sacrifices a point that will buff your other skill more and u dont get to waste 100 mana for your ultimate UNLESS you are experiencing tons of teamfights early on (min 00:00 - 10:00) then pickingcan be useful.
You might think to yourself, Why the F**K i choose power treads over arcane boots. well here is the answer, to fix that low hp Dirge gets on early game, PT is needed and this will also allow you to hit faster after u steal some STR with.
And remember that dirge already has High Intel thus getting Soulring is a better choice, it fixed the mana problem while giving you extra mana and hp regen. trust me you wont run out of mana if played correctly.
Also since Soulring is now part of the item needed to make Bloodstone, you kinda need it
And this opens another question, why Bloodstone when you can get other item?
well here is the thing, Bloodstone Gives you Huge Chunk of HP and MANA while giving SH*TTONS of regen that increases each time you gain charges. trust me you need the regen and durability from this item. also dont forget this item can instant revive you.
BUT, before you get Bloodstone, do get Blademail Because u gonna need it to repel some damage to the enemy heroes which can be Amplified by your!
also, Dont forget to get Mek if your team needs it! and do priorities that before Bloodstone if needed.
Other than that, all the other items here Are Situational.
Refresher - 2 tombstone = zombie rampage'
crimsonguard - if u need damage block on basic attacks
Necrominicon - Invis enemy? rape them with this Demon from hell!
Tarasq - come on, this item makes you buff as fck
Dagon - AMP 35% damage on dagon? yes (get this if you need extra damage or u wanna troll)
Etherial blade & veil - Buff you magic damage? yes
Aghanim Scepter - Increase amp to 40% and the heals on creep/hero death? HELL YES
Shiva/Cuirass - + armor that has sick aura? Sure!
Hex - Turn your enemy to pig
Pipe - its dangerous to face magic damage alone, take this!
How to play dirge? its easy, just spam your skill and win :D
No seriously, all you need to do is spam your skill in any fights.
whats that? u need a more detail Guide on how to play him? sure m8 :D
In midgame to late game, things are gonna get alittle messy due to the fights you will be attending, here onwards, Your role will be only one, STICK WITH YOUR TEAM TO GANK,RESCUE AND GO IN TEAMFIGHTS!!!! (yeah its only that)
Now right before teamfight starts, Be sure to active yourand prepare your, Once heroes start to clash, Place yourRIGHT in the MIDDLE of the fight (usually the first heroes to clash will mark the middle of it.) and Spam youron the enemy HEROES while trying to Heal The first hero to CLASH in (usually initiators, since once they come in they automatically have a banner that says "KILL ME", if its your team mates who got Initiated on, heal him/her 1st) and your carry with yourwhile trying to get as close to the enemy heroes because the closer they are, the more damage will be amp to them with your.
THINGS YOU SHOULD REMEMBER ABOUT UNDYING :
- you can heal yourwith your
- Yourcan heal/damage up to 500 HP!
- If yourhit 5 heroes, your can gain 360 HP IN ONE CAST
- Your zombie fromCan Stack their slow up to 100% which means your enemy will move with only 100 Movementspeed (that is SLOW as ****) and once your enemy hp drops below 100/200/300/400 hp, your zombie goes ape**** and spawns TWICE more and HITS FASTER
- YourHeals your equal to your max Hp automatically if any Hero/Creep dies within your plague radius. zombie also counts
Hero = 6% (10%) of your hp
Creeps = 2% (3%) of your hp
I hope you gain something off my 1st guide :D
might update out later if i find a better build on this or to fix this guide :D
