I put together my own little viper-guide after writing here, I see you have expanded yours pretty well' +1 from me.

But as far as I've understood and seen in-game,
Edit: This got changed in 6.78: Before
Viper is my most "winning" hero, I love playing him and build him usually as a lane harrasser/first blood drawer/mid-game carry with Aghanim's Scepter, Ring of Basilus/Aquila and Yasha/Manta Style/Butterfly
Here are my 2 cents
[*]Heroes - Laning partners
- Almost anybody (though Viper should be played as a carry if the enemy team is even slightly more experienced) but especially stunners/burst damage dealers/slowers/enemy position manipulators (
[*]Heroes - Who can Viper counter?
- Best counter against melee carries who have no blink and rely on getting up-close-and-personal for survival (skeleton king,
[*]When should I avoid picking Viper? / Enemies of Viper:
- Hit-and-run burst damage teams/lanes who come "on-line" early on when Viper is squishy. Avoid laning against
- As said, Viper is of limited use against blinkers but isn't really that hard countered by them either thanks to
- I find that Viper doesn't have that many weaknesses, which means that he is a n00b -friendly hero as long as you know how to orb-walk and know at least one good item build for Viper. This is especially true on lower level games since the opponent isn't usually organized/skilled enough to maintain an effective ganking hunter-killer squad constantly coming after you. However, as already mentioned in the article itself, Viper isn't that "good" in the end against higher level players (and why Viper is so rarely picked on a comp level?): Most if all of the potential roles that Viper can have in a team some other hero can either do better (or need less farm to do more or less as well), be it DPS:ing, tanking, ganking, lane killing (stunners) or harrassing. That being said, I love his (it's?) skill combo, synergy and playstyle :P
Yes indeed! I was planning on adding some commentary on general partners/allies today since I just commented on a few stars, if you don't mind I may be paraphrasing some of this and I'll drop you into the Special Thanks!~
Cheers
Nice job Healfezza - doesn't seem to be showing yet...have you republished?
Hmmm, well if it wasn't showing before I just hopped back in and hit the publish button again just in case. Should be working now.
I didn't know crits stacked with his toxin. Very interesting. Good guides.
I've had the most success with a support/aura viper. Pipe, Mek, Drums, Str treads etc into aghs. Incredibly tanky and sustainable.
Yeah, that is my Build 3. It is quite nice, you still get decent mid game damage from Nethertoxin but can leave up the damage to your other carries be they dual lanes or dual lane + jungler or whatever.
Thanks for the input :)
I added 3 new short sections to the content as per request.
Cheers!

Nice guide, well presented +1
Although a section about good/bad enemies/allies would be a nice addition...
