Hello
So here's a guide on a carry silencer. This is my first hero guide so please be nice and feel free to correct me where I'm wrong :)
Now back to the topic, an intro on the hero (Silencer) :
Silencer a.k.a Nortrom is a ranged intelligence hero who can be played as a support, carry or an initiator. Silencer is best against heroes who rely mostly on spells as he can silence them as well as steal their intelligence and add it to his own. Silencer rely mostly on his physical attack to bring down his enemies. Although Curse of the Silent deals surprisingly good damage to unprepared opponents, the Silencer's real power lies in his Glaives of Wisdom. With powerful intelligence items, Silencer is capable of easily out-damaging many strength and agility heroes who focus on their physical attacks. Silencer has two abilities to silence his oppenent, Last word and the Global silence and both are very useful in combats, specially against enemy spell casters who cast a lot of spells in quick succession.
For a carry silencer I prefer to be played in the 3-2-3 format, But You can change plan according to who you're laning against with. If you're laning against someone that can easily counter COTS (Curse of the Silent) i.e Storm, Zeus, etc, skip it and max last word which I prefer. If you're laning against someone who can hardly cancel it or run out of mana even if after it cancels (viper, pudge, etc) you can go ahead and max it. It is also common to cast COTS right after your opponent cast their spell. After you steal sufficient intelligence from your oppnonets, you can pile on the hurt with Glaives. COTS deal more damgage if your opponent spell is on cooldown or they have no mana to cast a spell.
Start with the mentioned items and pick top/bottom lane for offlane (carry) or even mid depending on hero picks, it will help you to control the lane. Get COTS or Last word depending on the hero you counter and start casting it on your enemy since level 1. It will screw your enemies more than you thought,if u cast COTS don't forget its area spell, aim to get 2 target at once if possible. Max last word if you feel you can early kill. If you're not sure get Glaives for creeping and agro harass. Get Magic stick ASAP, it work perfectly with your cots. If possible get Hand of Midas,it grants +30 attack speed, 2.5x normal experience and 190 reliable gold that will let you exceed enemies farm. I feel that Rod of Atos is a good option for Nortrom making the target's movement speed slows by 60% for 4 seconds. Shiva's guard having a passive freezing aura reducing the attack speed as well as movement speed of nearby enemy units which makes more easier to hit the target. If your farm is poor you can go for optional items like Drum of Endurance or instead get Guinsoo (Sythe of Vyse) incase you got enough gold then start aiming for Shiva's guard.
At the middle game, start ganking you know you're getting intel if enemies dies within your range i.e within 900 range. When it comes to team clash, maintain your distance. Hide behind your tanker but still keep your Last Word aura in range. Cast COTS on low pool mana hero with deadly spells if you have the chance. Keep your self safe while throwing your Glaives that deals Dps (pure)on your intelligence. With these item build(core items). Silencer is a perfect carry now. Overall, I think these core items are best build for Nortrom as to what I've experienced through.
Anyway thats it for the guide. Thanks for reading.
