Firstly, this is my first guide and therefore please make the effort to inform me if i have made any editing mistakes. In my opinion, Bloodseeker is a very underplayed and underused hero. I have heard many people complaining about how OP Sven's God's Strength is, while Bloodrage fulfills a similar role lategame (to a certain extent), however it can be cast on the teams hard carry as well or even be used a game-changing perma-silence ability on the enemies support. As well as this Bloodseeker is capable of e enemies support. As well as this Bloodseeker is capable of dominating the mid game with his superb chasing and ganking ability. Overall he is a quite well-rounded and powerful hero.
This guide is designed to be short and concise and keep in mind that this will not be a 'pretty' guide with many illustrations and useless explanations. If you are unfamiliar with bloodseeker's skills, click here
Pros
-Is capable of complete ownage on a consistent basis
-Counters annoying anti-mage pickers
-Effective Perma-Silence
-Excellent Chaser
-HUGE damage with Bloodrage
Cons
-Requires good judgement to play well
-Not very effective in teamfight without levels and core items
Blood Bath is taken at lvl 1 for free healing and again at lvl 3 to increase the healing effect. Bloodrage should always be leveled at lvl 2, or even lvl 1 in very special occasions i.e., going for a fb against an invis/blinking hero. From here, Thirst is maxed (apart from a lvl of the ulti at lvl 6) to increase ganking and chasing potential, and is also very effective for finding low hp heros in the jungle. Rupture is taken at every available level as it is bloodseeker's most important asset for early game ganking.
Starting Items
These are pretty self explanatory, same as what is shown in every other bloodseeker guide on the planet. Stout for protection vs harrasment, Quelling for last-hitting and a set of tangoes to help you survive in sticky situations/stay in lane.
Early Game
Now for the early-game items. This is where my build starts to differ and become more controversial than the other guides. Pms for the extra dmg block and agi bonus, brown boots because its mainstream and urn. Urn is not a common item on bloodseeker, but in my opinion it is possibly THE best early game item for him. The stats are useful, hp for tower dive and mana regen so that you dont have to go to base after every gank, but the real gem here is the soul release. The 150 bonus dmg complements bloodseeker's early game with excellent synergy with rupture, thirst and bloodrage. The dmg allows bloodseeker to take down high hp targets by himself, even with only a single lvl in his ulti. In addition, you can use the huge range of it to snipe low hp targets, or even just to lower the enemies hp just enough for thirst to proc.
Mid Game
After you have started to roam and gank, the first item you should be going for after your power treads is a yasha. The agility synergies with the bonus dmg from bloodrage, and the movement speed is useful to roam faster and to get in those extra attacks on enemy units. HOWEVER, DO NOT upgrade this item any further unless in very occasional cirumstances. While yasha is a cheap and effective item, sny is quite ineffective for its cost, and manta, while being somewhat effective, is not all that useful when BKB is used in addition to the illusions, and the illusions do not benefit from the bonus dmg from bloodrage.
BKB is our next item of choice. This item is absolutely essential for a bloodseeker during the mid-late game teamfights, where bloodseeker's huge dps potential is compromised by his melee status and easy kite-ability.
Late Game
In my opinion, butterfly is the best late-game extension for bloodseeker. It provides good EHP against physical attacks with the evasion, and the agility and attack speed synergises with the bonus damage from bloodrage (which is based solely on the target's damage gained from his main attribute). Apart from this, use your iniative and adapt to the game's needs.
Early Game
Go mid, and focus on last-hitting and getting exp until level 6. Hopefully by now you should have your boots, urn and poor mans shield. At this point, go for a gank on the enemy mid hero if possible, or if not, gank a sidelane.
PLEASE NOTE- IF you end up in a situation where you are almost definitely going to die, buy your items and cast bloodrage on yourself to deny yourself.
Mid Game
Gank around the map when your utli is off cooldown and farm when it is on cooldown. Before ganking a hero, check whether he has a tp scroll in his inventory. If he does, call an ally with a stun to gank with you. Focus on getting treads asap and then build up to yasha.
Mid-Late Game
The laning stage is well and truly over, and you will need to place some offensive wards so that bloodseeker can continue his role picking off lone enemy heroes. Try to avoid full-scale teamfights as much as possible until you have got your bkb and max level bloodrage.
IMPORTANT- USE BLOODRAGE ON YOURSELF BEFORE BKB USAGE AS YOU CANNOT CAST IT THROUGH MAGIC IMMUNITY
Keep in mind that after this point bloodseeker's strength starts to lessen, so try to end asap.
Late Game
Hopefully by this point you have already almost won by this point. If not, push hard and win.
This section is designed to be s compilation of tips and tricks to playing bloodseeker. If you have any additions to this list, add them in your comments and i will add them to this list.
- You can deny yourself with bloodrage
- In teamfights, bloodrage yourself before using bkb as you cannot bloodrage through it
- Both carry can check your enemies inventories for tp scrolls before a gank
