Centaur players would usually go for a magic wand but having an Urn will be pretty helpful during a clash and after a clash. For the reason that the Urn can be used with escaping enemies and healing yourself and your opponents who are in a pretty dire situation.
Ideally hood of defiance would be very appropriate for a game if majority of the opponents are AOE spell casters. The item will also be very useful if two (2) to three (3) spell casters are present in the game. Then you can go on and help your teammates with upgrading Defiance to Pipe of Insight.
But if let's say there is only one (1) nuker and all the rest of your opponents are hitters, it would be good enough to get a Vanguard. Having a Vanguard will help increase your HP Regeneration and also your total strength.
In some situations if most your opponents are stunners and disablers with aoe damage, BKB will be very useful in Mid to late Game. Its understood that Centaur Warrunner should be a tank initiator (front line leader) but he will have a difficult time casting his stun if he only uses his ultimate skill to run closer to his opponents who are disablers and stunners. Its an instant dead meat.
Sure I would agree that if Centaur has a blink dagger, he can easily initiate his stun and Stampede but without BKB that's as far as he may go since he's fresh meat after the stun ends its duration. The BKB in this situation can also be applicable if you do not have a fellow AOE stunner to follow up such as Jakiro, Beast Master, Magnus, Raigor.
BKB will save you from massive damage and help you do the initiating for your team.
In some cases Scythe of Vise is very Useful most especially for stunners, aoe nukers and fed late game characters.
Imagine blinking in then initiating a stun during the clash then when the duration of the spell ends- cast scythe of vise to the opponents AOE stunner or the fed hard hitter.
Honestly I have not tried this but it may be possible to use refresher or for double Stomps and two Double Edges. I imagine this can be a replacement for the Scythe of Vise.
