Well if we're talking about actual big changes...

Alchemist's change is fairly small, but it will definitely reduce support Alchemist picks in the competitive scene. Not eliminated from it I suppose, but there will be less picks.

Faceless Void will benefit more from the time walk mana cost reduction tbh. 1000 ms and 360 ms aren't really different when you're only walking around a small area and you take cleave anyway. (usually)

Broodmother and Earth Spirit got what they deserved.

Morphling's change isn't that big really, Waveform doesn't last for long.

and... that's it! For the first patch for 80s, there seriously is nothing that radically changes the meta. 6.79 should have been the 6.80 patch.

I am very sad that we won't be seeing much difference in the professional games.

Honestly the 6.79 meta is yet to be set. People said MLG would decide where pro teams go and there has been tons of changes in playstyles since then. It has been much more random than the farm /split push 6.78 , so i think another change would be nice with the necronomicon nerf. Teams have been relying on it way too much.

Still feels early for 6.80 but i guess icefrog made the right decision. You don't want to release a gameplay update after the ti4 invitations and watch as teams panic.
