What do we do with the Bounty Hunter, what do we do with the Bounty Hunter?

I don't know if someone already said that, but he's very good at recovering from a bad game, especially if your team is ganking-oriented. You can run him with a Storm Spirit, Ember Spirit, Clockwerk, Nature's Prophet, Io or Spectre (even more than one of them) in your team and focus on getting gold from single pickoffs thanks to the invisibility and Track. Okay, some Heroes are as good as him at dealing burst damage and even stronger in teamfights, but he can scout everywhere thanks to Shadow Walk and, unlike Nyx Assassin, he can do that from level 1.

Plus, I'm surprised he isn't picked more often in this meta, as he really cripples Chen in the early levels when run as a position 4.

As Peppo says, he fits into particular lineups.

If your team gets behind in farm, is having issues figuring out where the enemy is then he can be very helpful.


But otherwise, I feel like he is useless. And that's why he is so underpicked. I doubt any teams plan on losing throughout the match only to make a comeback in the last 5-10 minutes.

Niche utility pick. He's good with early pickoff carries like PA/Spectre as Ham pointed out, and can really make supports and junglers pay for over extending. He's really really bad in teamfights, and that's why he doesn't do much in this meta I think.

I usually end up playing him as a utility support if the game goes late, because unless you just stomp the early game you usually don't have the means to take heroes down by yourself (other than uber squish heroes like Crystal Maiden). If your team is active in the mid game, you can really get your carry fat and put quite a gap between your gold and your enemies' gold.
