Help with guide writing

I've been secretly writing this epic guide for all of you... However, I need to know somebthings first:

1)How do you insert screenshots in a guide?

You can either use an icon:



Or a web image (use the little green tree button)

Do you have your screenshots hosted somewhere? If not, try a free service like http://imgur.com/

That way you can use the "img" tag Sando suggested.

Oh, so I can't put pictures that aren't on the web?

No, you can't. You'll have to upload them.

Think of it this way, say you have screenshots on your computer and nowhere else, and your computer is switched off, how can they be accessed, let alone viewed by anyone? If you upload them to a site like imgur, they'll be hosted on servers which are (almost) always on and can be accessed publicly.

So once they're uploaded, you use the "img" link to tell DOTAFire where your images are, and every time someone opens the guide, it goes and retrieves the images from their various destinations, i.e. the site doesn't have your images, it just knows where they live! 8{3

ok.... OK.... What if they are on Dropbox or something? It technically is uploaded.

I'm not sure if dropbox really works, what I'm sure of though is that imgur is the best for such things and it works really well.

if they are on dropbox you can enable public files and then link them between the img tags and theoretically it should work, however imgur is ez to use, just use that
