Valve released new game mode which is called All Random Deathmatch.
5 players on each side, nothing changes here, but you are given a 1 random hero, and when you will die, you have different hero upon respawning. Each team has 40 points, and when 1 hero from the team dies, that team is losing 1 point. When points reaches zero, you have to eliminate each hero until there is noone left. The alternative way of winning in this mode is to simply destroy the Ancient.
What is really important in this mode is item build. When you reaches, let's say, level 6 and you die, your new hero will be level 6, but you will be free to choose skills. However, your items remain and you can't sell them for the full price. It is just like in normal games.
It leads to weird situations when I had Bane (as my last hero) with Diffusal Blade. It was quite useful when I could Purge myself or someone else.
Generally, you are trying to stick to the build that may suit as many heroes as possible. That's why I made Blink Dagger, because it's useful on nearly each hero.
But there must be some bugs, and here's what I experienced:
When you will get Lone Druid and you will put items on the Bear, those items will disappear when you will resurrect as someone else. You will receive no recompensation in gold.
When someone is about to resurrect, and the game will load a new hero, I experienced massive FPS loss, due to texture and probably items loading. Usually I don't have problem with that, but there it was something worth mentioning. Imagine something like that during a team-fight.
Sounds pretty fun, I wouldn't do so well because of the fact that I'm only good with two heroes.
Sounds like a fun twist however and it will good as players have a high chance of getting heroes they know nothing about.
where is this mode? or am i just derping that much?
Type "dota_match_game_modes 1048576" into console (without ") and queue into matchmaking.
"When game is going full ******, you can only go with it. If you start going against it, if you start going half ******, you´re ****ing done for. When Aloha decides to go middle rubick you let him, and you start buying orb of venom on invoker. That's how dota works" -n0tail
The two times I played the mode it was chaos, totally fun though, and the thought process on item progression is pretty straining if you really think it through.
I've stuck with Phase Boots Drum of Endurance Blink Dagger. All heroes can find benefits from those items, other items to get mileage out of would be dagon and Necronomicon, generally universal, Dagon specifically for dropping the hero spawn score.
Buggy as hell, I kept freezing anytime someone would respawn. I ended up getting lucky the last time I played, netting a morphing after I had a Lina with an eblade hehe, but not picking universally sound items and you're really rolling the dice. Fun as hell.
