Your problem is that life steal is a UAM (Unique Attack Modifier) and so is Corruption and UAMs don't stack.

Lifesteal and Desolator are both unique attack modifiers (or orb effects) and they don't stack.

Mask of Madness + Desolator is still a viable build on Sniper but you'll have to forfeit the lifesteal (he doesn't really need lifesteal anyways). Drop both items, pick Deso first and MoM second. This way you will have armor reduction and high attack speed.
