Is laning using Furion viable? Because, theoretically, he would get more gold from last-hitting and also assists (using the tele-sprout build for more ganks). What do you guys think?

Well, Alliance likes playing the Furion offlane, so yeah, he can do quite well in a lane. He actually does well in any lane when given the chance.

Remember to max teleport instead of treants, because you don't need them to tank creeps. The extra levels in teleport makes it easier for you to assist other lanes in ganks/escapes.

Do I still have to at least take a level of Nature's Call? Or do I just max both Teleportation and Sprout, then Nature's Call?

You could use one.If the lane is pushed, you can just jump to one of the camps(especially on the radiant top lane).

Never max sprout unless you are playing in low-skilled pubs. Any decent player would keep tangos/qb to counter it. Just leave it at level 1.

Fixed. Sprout is a **** disable early game, but it is a really heavy disable later in the game against people that can't cut trees(and there are a lot of those, nobody will have a Quelling Blade 40 minutes in)

Nature's Prophet has been played as a solo offlaner for a long time (since March?), but I still suggest to max out Nature's Call first so you can teleport back and forth between your lane and, when it gets pushed/pulled, the jungle and get your Hand of Midas in a reasonable amount of time.

He's also decent at mid lane: competitive teams played him mid a couple of times rushing a Mekansm and maxing out Teleportation, I believe. It's not that common, but it works if you need early teamfight and ganking potential.
