Some Idiot's MMR Experiment

Hello one and everyone! Been a while, huh?

Dang right it has. What's your excuse this time, eh? Still job, girlfriend, and the like?

Well that. But also Guild Wars 2! It's super fun! I have a little guild called Mahou Shoujo Fight Club (the tag is [chan]!) and everything is super relaxed and casual.

I... I'm you, and I can never tell when you're kidding.

I'm... why would I be kidding? Do I not seem like the type of person who would run that kind of guild?

... valid point. Anyways, what are you on here about? You realize a lot of your guides are out of date now, right?

Yeah... yeah I need to go back and update those. Particularly Ogre Magi... friggin' Valve, changing the damage values a mere week after I go through all that beautiful, beautiful mathematics. But yeah, I'll get to that. The reason I'm doing this is, now that I'm back playing Dota on a semi-regular basis, I want to answer the age-old question: Am I at all qualified to be giving advice on how to play heroes?

Well... no. That's not an age old question, we ALL know you aren't. That's like the whole point behind our shtick, isn't it?

Uh... ok. That's fair. So I guess the question I'm seeking to answer is "Safecyn, what's your MMR?"

TBD man. The best Dotes. I never play ranked, ever, so I've got no idea where I stand. But rather than just do it in private and cry silently to myself, I thought I'd blog the MMR finding experience and publicly shame myself! To the hundred or so people who'll bother to read this, of course.

Man... if I had started playing Dota like 2 years earlier, I so could've been. I make funny voices all the damn time when I'm playing this game.

Anyways, I'm curious to see what everyone's estimations are, so go back, read my guides, realize that they're still referencing either 6.82 or 6.83 (the 6.83 ones will say 'Shivering Snows Current') and tell me what you think in the comments!

What do YOU think your MMR is, eh? I wanna see how far off you think you are.

Hmm... the problem is I'm not sure which side of the Dunning-Kruger effect I'm on. Am I far better than I think I am, and just think I suck? Or do I suck so badly I can't tell I'm literally useless?

Then I guess I'll estimate myself at something like 2400. I have been playing for a few years now, I'm not a COMPLETE noob.

Weh. Anyways, I can't say for sure when I'll play my first ranked game, but keep an eye out! If... if you care. And it's perfectly understandable if you don't.
