Well it all depends on the player, however i personally think that it is better to play carry and a lot of you will think why is that when it is also good to be a supp? Well ofcourse it is better when there is 1-2 supports and a few carries but i personally think that it's more fun to play carry, because in late games it is almost impossible to kill with a support no matter how much disable skills you've got especially when you have to defend.
Furthermore being a carry is more fun you know the good feeling you get when you make a rampage, godlike and etc all the players like you however if you play supp and you fail they all blame it on you for not being good enough, buying wards and so on...
Well in conclusion in my opinion it is way better to play carry and thats my reasons so post your comments and opinions if you would like to ^^
Thanks, Darionn17 haha
here is an example of me playing carry and well its much more exciting and it's worth it ^^
You are right, its much more fun to play carry. BUT its only so because everyone in PUBS seem to think supports are just their observer wards/courier *****es. Truth being, carries must also get "TEAM items" (or items required to provide the most utility) rather than just getting whatever they want. A good carry gets his items according to how the game is going and what his team needs...
If your random PUBSTER picks Slardar he may rush Mask of Madness and Desolatorjust because, when what his team really needs is an initiator slardar with a Blink Dagger black king's bar
in short, once you get out of PUBS (start playing ranked or team matchmaking) you will find that supports are not the only ones obligated to spend their money in items FOR THE TEAM.
Dota is a team game!!!.
If you aren't wreaking havoc, maybe you should pick a better Support, even with minimal Farm, you can get Kills turn fights around, and generally feel like a god. If you've never felt this as a support then either

I... don't really understand people who DON'T enjoy playing support actually. I don't see how it's not fun. SURE getting rampages is nice and all, but what beats the feeling of you knowing that you're playing the hardest role in the game, secretly carrying your team but in a way that they're (assuming that this isn't too high of an MMR) not intelligent enough to know? You KNOW that you're contributing the most (assuming you're playing right) and that you're most likely more knowledgeable about the game than your teammates.
I get the point of people who enjoy carries more than supports, but think about it: Crystal Maiden is a newbie friendly hero, Venomancer is a newbie friendly hero, Bloodseeker is is reality not someone advanced players would recommend to new players, but how would you compare the times you heard "He picked Bloodseeker, must be a noob" to the times you heard "He picked Crystal Maiden/ Venomancer, must be a noob"?
It's all a matter of personal taste what you prefer, you could argue that it's more fun running round the map killing and defending than watching health bars drop :). Ideally I think you should be able to do both to a reasonable standard, even if one is your preferred choice.
Ultimately you can't have carries without supports (otherwise who goes without farm?), but yes, you're unlikely to be going on godlike streaks with them. Still, you can have massive game impact - for example:
I played a game yesterday (Dotabuff) as Keeper of the Light - I got a grand total of 3 kills, but had a very big game impact. They were running a Chen, but had no other support hero, so I figured to risk blocking half their jungle on the basis that they wouldn't have Sentry Wards. I was offlane with Elder Titan against Luna and Pudge (yeah, I know!). Feeding him Chakra Magic we completely dominated the lane, not many kills, but they couldn't compete for farm at all. Their Chen wandered around looking sad wondering why he only had 2 jungle camps to work with.
As it turned out, our mid Pugna got completely owned by their Puck and the game looked lost for a long time - eventually we managed to nick it after losing 2 sets of rax.
Anyway, the point is, I managed to strongly effect the game with almost no early damage or kills, and a very cheap set of utility items. 3 of their heroes ended up underfarmed and underlevelled - and if mid hadn't lost so badly we probably would have won quite easily. Sometimes late game power and godlike streaks aren't the only things that matter!
