It's the El Classico all over again.. The intensity of Na'Vi vs Alliance..
First game was an insane play by Alliance, who managed to win the game purely by ratting, after they drafted an extremely early game push lineup, and Na'Vi managed to stall them out. If you missed it, make sure you watch the VOD (Medusa rapiers, 6 slotted Troll ratting Tier 4s, Na'Vi fountain diving while their Tier 4 is going down, etc)
Second game was a great game in general. Axe got off to a dominating start with an aggro tri (with SD and Dazzle), and started cutting the wave, destroying the safe lane tower very early. But then, XBOCT got farmed on his Bristleback after which, there was pretty much no answer to him. Dendi got some sick skewers though.
Game three is up next. Watch it!
EDIT: Game 3 was pretty good as well. although not as intense as the first two. I won't reveal the winner, but the series is definitely worth watching.
but i watched and I was really pleased with how [A]lliance played as a whole over the DAC tournament. They were a lot better than i expected, although i cant help but pray Bulldog comes back to replace EGM offlane. I think if we had Bulldog those games would have been won.
Game 3 is what did us in, Terrorblade was such a greedy pick. We needed the laning and midgame to go PERFECTLY for it to work out. Laning went really well, early first blood and every lane was won, but it fell apart soon after. I think if he Loda picked a little less greedy and went a carry that can get involved early ( Sven maybe) they could have got something out of it. But the Brewmaster was being shut down so well by NA'VI it might not have made a difference. Very good play from them.
Either way, the future for both teams is looking better than it was a couple of months ago!
Loved how after game 1 Pajkatt tweeted "I channeled my inner **** keepo" and Bulldog tweeted "@Pajkatt has proven to be a true rat".
I like how Bulldog is watching them... Let's hope i'm not reading into that too much!
I really think Na'Vi cost themselves game 1 with a single bad decision. XBCOT fighting with his team after the second lane of racks went down instead of pushing for Megas. They knew how much stuff Alliance had to kite Medusa in a fight, so I think going for mega's would've been smarter. At least it would've forced Alliance to choose between killing Na'Vi, and stopping XBOCT.
XBOCT throwing again?no really? i would never have guessed he would throw ...AGAIN!
ugh i honestly think they need a complete change and mix up. they are a tier 2 pro team now. i honestly think dendi should go onto the market. he has out lived Na'Vi.
Alliance did well. their positioning was ....perfect.
Game 2:
nothing to shutdown that bristle. Dendi with some huge plays. allaince fell apart around 25 mins in. dont know what happened to them.

TBH the first game wasn't all XBOCT throwing. I think he played a fairly OK game. It's just that he got kited hard on a Medusa which was to be expected.
And in my opinion, the main turning point of the game was Na'Vi taking that fight in the Radiant base while Troll Warlord was pushing top, and managed to get tier 3, rax and both tier 4s down while Na'Vi was busy herding the rest of Alliance into their fountain.

but heres the rub. as medusa your going to get kited. since most cant man fight you after 50 mins. so you have to force them into it. he had the perfect chance to force them to fight him by focusing on megas instead of heading ALL THE WAY OUTSIDE THE BASE. all he had to do was focus the rax and they would have come to him.

in that situation i feel its what is wrong with Na'Vi atm. there is no clear. this is what we do. its more im doing this come join. so you get fractured ideas. like the fact they herded the team into and out of the fountain when they could have been going for mid rax or T4's was just due to no clear idea of what they should do.
they need a strong dominant leader that can make those calls. and they dont have one.

Totally agree with this part.. I've always thought that Puppey was the only person that called shots within the Na'Vi camp..
Dendi is way too much of a goofy person to be a stable strat caller, and XBOCT, well, he just does his own thing, diving headlong into a 5 man group..
While Goblak might be a decent drafter, I don't think he is a good enough ingame strat caller that Na'Vi so desperately needs.
