Just your decision if you use it or not. The game itself depends a lot on other things what I just can't write down. You can build items like the world champions, but if you play stupid you will loose. No matter what like is you build. You can say it didn't work well. Maybe for you. I don't know how you play.

And one other thing. I used the "How to make russians cry" title to get attention. And I got it. Maybe not the good kind of aattention but hey, im not a pro.

I win 9 out of 10 ten games with Lina. You can say that it is bad, but i don't really see what's so bad. I have just written down my experiences. Sorry if YOU doesn't understand what a guide is. Sharing these good experiences.

A guide is a well-formatted, logical and detailed instruction/hint how to play the hero, not "hey guys look I found some fancy build and I want to share it!" If you use some unorthodox build, at least explain why. Why would you prefer these items over "vanilla" build? I see no proper explanations, no proper insight. If you wanted to share the way you are playing and discuss it, crepate a forum topic - there is no need for another "guide".

Core Lina was always the best. I can say that the guide is not well formatted. The items are confusing. I'd suggest this:

Early: Tango, Healing Salve, 3 Iron Branches
Core: Phase Boots or Arcane Boots, Blink Dagger, Bottle, Magic Wand
Mid Game: Aghanim's Scepter, Daedalus, Monkey King Bar, Bloodstone
Late: Scythe of Vise, Shiva's Guard, Refresher Orb
Situatinoal: Shadow Blade, Eul's Scepter of Divinity, Pipe of Insight, Ghost Scepter, Dagon, Necronimicon

carry lina got no scalability and no attack steroid. Also wrecked by mana burn.

It's basically semi-carry Lina. Are you sure she has no scale as a semi-carry? Do you know why IceFrog over buffing her in the last patches? Lina was never a support. Neither was someone like Necrophos. IceFrog is trying his best to make the players play the hero as a core and not a support.

Skill build is fine, items are a bit confused.

With a core Lina you basically have a choice between a midgame magic damage build, or a later game raw damage build.

E.g. Eul's Scepter of Divinity into Veil of Discord into Aghanim's Scepter/ Ethereal Blade/ Scythe of Vyse

OR

Phase Boots into Rod of Atos/ Eul's Scepter of Divinity (depending on if the enemy has transport abilities, Rod is better if they don't), into Monkey King Bar/ Daedalus etc.

Add Black King Bar etc as necessary.

Core Lina is the way to go imo, if you're going support you pretty much always have better choices for whatever you want.

Bloodstne core is just stupid, doesn't give you anything you actually need in the mid game besides mana and health, which you don't need in the mid game.

Boots of Speed first gives you nothing, you already have enough range to stay safe during the laning phase. If you are offlane as Lina then you will probably lose the lane anyway. Opt for more regen and stats early.

Your guide assumes that by mid game, a Lina would have Bloodstone, Aghanim's Scepter plus either Shadow Blade or Veil of Discord. That is not going to happen by mid game.

Please reconsider how to play core Lina, mainly in terms of items. I'm sure you can find a much more efficient way to do it.

NO Eye of Skadi NO Daedalus WHY Shadow Blade NO Scythe of Vyse WHY Refresher Orb
Hey I tried this guide ON A PUB MATCH VS Sniper Enigma Earthshaker Lycan Bounty Hunter and it sucks. I changed Shadow Blade into Blink Dagger + Eul's Scepter of Divinity and put Bloodstone in late game. I even bought Eye of Skadi first! They keep saying "F*** YOU NOOB YOU SUPPORT SH** IDIOT WHY BUY SKADI ON LINA IDIOT". Thank god I win "cause the enemy is noob". But what if I tried this guide on ranked match?? Seriously, change it man.
And read this @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

my main issue is that if you get blood stone you are dealing practically no damage. I would instead build up treads + soul ring + drums (for survivability while keeping movement up) and then build up more damaging items. I'd say possibly get a crystalus and platemail (maybe even HotD), finish a scythe and then finish the crys into daedalus, sell treads and build Boots of Travel, finish into shiva, sell the soul ring and buy monkey king bar, and then sell your drums and build into maybe satanic.

It's just another offensive guide. It's very bad formatted and written. You should not make guides if you do not understand Dota properly.

At first - there are PLENTY of heroes who can survive 2 Laguna Blades, even with Aghanim's Scepter upgrade. Refresher Orb is a terrible item on her. Your cooldown are rather low on Lina.

If you want to build a carry Lina, you will need damage, and your build really lacks it. Also, there is no Eul's Scepter of Divinity for mobility and setting up your combo. It really boosts your survavibility in midgame.

Shadow Blade on Lina... I have no words. Just don't do it.

Guide is also very short (maybe we should bless it?)

This guide should be deleted, as it can easily confuse new players. I would demand from you to present us your DotaBUFF account. You are definately not a master of Dota strategy.

Also - downvoted.

To add to what Dionychan has said if u really want to right click with Lina build a crstalys because the attack speed from her passive means quite a few crits. Sorry to say but not a good guide the item picks and just plain bad and the writing style is unintelligent.
